Anyone??
If not, why not?
It's on apple TV and tbh is ridiculous but so so good and funny.
Micheal Rhys makes the whole show.

It’s the highlight of my week and I particularly love Kate O’Flynn. She’s great in Everyone Else Burns and the outrageously short lived My Lady Jane.

So latest episode with her featuring heavily was a real treat though very hard to watch in terms of the fright factor.

Fransgran · 04/06/2026 13:00

It's the best thing on television for ages. I'm agog, waiting for each new episode. I'd watch Matthew Rhys in anything and do! Started with Brothers and Sisters and went on from there.

What is the curse do we think? What did Warren exchange for saving the settlement. If Loftis’ wife was affected whilst leaving the island, rather than the baby, is it about the women? And how does this link to Sarah, presumably she and the children all drowned whilst escaping Warren. Why did Warren gouge out the eyes of the model of her in the museum, and is this linked to Lotfis’ wife going blind?

FeelingALittleWoozyHere · 05/06/2026 23:05

Just watched episode 8 and as a slasher fan I think that could be one of my all time favourite episodes of any show, ever. Absolutely genius. Such a clever show i love it!

Nihongo · 06/06/2026 19:06

It’s my new favourite show - I love the mix of quirky, weird, funny and scary.

My only gripe is that I wish I could binge it properly instead of having to wait a week for the next episode.

I will probably watch it again from the beginning once all 10 are out.

TessTickle0 · 07/06/2026 13:34

Yes i really wish I had waited to start watching so I could do exactly that.

Just finished the series… anyone else watched them all??

TessTickle0 · 24/06/2026 08:49

Yep all done.
I started off loving it and slowly thought it went a bit to silly and try hard.
Still enjoyed it but mostly because of Matthew Rs acting and character.
Will watch the 2nd series but save them so I can binge watch (damn apple TV weekly releases)because I do think it detracted from my overall enjoyment of it having to watch weekly.
What did everyone think?
Glad grandma survived 🙏 (she did didnt she?)
But now the hunt will be on to find who it really is....

allthemind · 24/06/2026 10:20

i thought it was obvious who it really is wasnt it? She had a duaghter, who had a ..

EleanorPeck · 24/06/2026 13:32

Yes, it was clear who the last remaining Warren relative is.

youngestisapsycho · 24/06/2026 15:13

Yes very clear. The storm passed because the poor guy being taken from the basement… lots more to discover in season2!

ithinkilikethislittlelife · 24/06/2026 15:20

Without a doubt the best show I have seen in the longest time. I’ve watched and re watched all the episodes and they just get better. What an ensemble. Every cast member is brilliant and you root for them all. But Patricia and the mayor are sublime. I am the biggest fan of Patricia. Best character in a show. The party and the killer episodes were standout and Matthew Rhys plays quiet dread so well. Love it!!!!🥰

TessTickle0 · 24/06/2026 15:45

Oh I know who it is, I just meant the other characters will want to know and mayor will have to throw them off the scent?!

Loved it so much. My fave moments were: Seahag (moving faster than an old woman should), ALL of the cocktail party episode, and the crawl space part. When the man says “do you want me to come in” and the pure panic from the mayor. Really was as described “horror comedy”. More please!!

gazellefoot · 24/06/2026 15:51

And can I just add if anything happens to the Mayor, Patricia or Wyck I would be so upset! They must be protected at all costs.

ThursdayNext1 · 24/06/2026 15:55

It is brilliant! My husband is not a fan of horror - but this is so well done, he loves it too. It’s creepy and funny. I love all the characters but especially Matthew Rhys - agree his facial expressions are hilarious. And Kate o’flynn is magnificent. Her use of her body is amazing.

GreenSalon · 24/06/2026 16:27

Kate O Flynn is my favourite. I’ve finished it now but conscious of not sharing spoilers. I loved it and the cocktail party episode was also one of my favourites.

I loved this show so much, except for the crawl space clown jump scare near the start. Somewhere recently I read s2 has been confirmed. Huzzah!

MyKindHiker · 24/06/2026 17:59

I thought it was great.

Favorite episode was the first one - where he was trying to convince the journalist it's a lovely place and the local museum was filled with articles about cannibalism and bloodstained dresses and things. Just brilliant.

What do people think will be the plot for series 2? I think series 2 will be Matthew Rhys character trying to source people to kill for the 8 chimes in the bell. But who?

I could imagine a scenario in which he tries to attract really awful people to the island. Maybe by inviting some gangsters from the mainland for a free holiday. Or maybe his assistant will put forward those women from her school who bullied her.

MyKindHiker · 24/06/2026 18:00

Oh and the episode where he is staying in the hotel and the chap he was talking to just yelling at the TV HE'S A GHOST!!!

Rocknrollstar · 24/06/2026 21:31

TessTickle0 · 31/05/2026 14:44

Sorry yes Matthew.
I've not seen him in anything else, his facial expressions are the best!

Watch him in The americans

Nihongo · 29/06/2026 20:19

I managed to binge watch it over the weekend and really enjoyed it again.

It was nice to watch a few episodes together, especially as a lot of the show takes place over a short period of time.

Also meant that I picked up a few things I missed the first time. I love the cast, they’re so quirky.

My favourite episodes were the one with the hag, the mushroom tripping one and the slasher one. I wasn’t too keen on the historical episode, and overall the ending was a bit predictable.

My only worry would be whether they can sustain a good storyline for season 2 - a lot of the humour comes from the novelty of the characters/ situation. We shall see…

It’s definitely something I’d rewatch in the future.

This was very… quirky! Wasn’t sure if I liked it at first but soon found my way into its vibe.
Some of it was hilarious, some quite clever and some genuinely spooky.

Loved Patricia with the gun on the slasher!

FeelingALittleWoozyHere · 09/07/2026 16:53

19 Emmy nominations! Well deserved

I HOWLED when the ambulance doors opened and she was standing there. One of my fave ever tv moments 🤣
