I wore that exact bow that Anna's wearing, slapped on the back of my bonce for a job interview. Got told I looked "too delicate" for surgery. Definitely blamed the bow.
Mind you, that was the late 80s and bows were fashionable.

This is interesting because DH has a significant birthday next year. His favourite food is Indian (he's way better at cooking Indian food than I am) and we're not far from Birmingham so I'd considered taking him to Opheem...

Or, at least in my lowly position as house officer (rated as just below the hospital cat in those days), clinging on to a retractor for ages.
I think it was another way of saying he wanted a man. But I found out I'd dodged a bullet and ended up with a much nicer job, so the bow did me a favour 🎀😄
