Have I Got News For You is now just cringe comedy for idiots

Last night's episode was almost unwatchable. I don't think any other programme has gone downhill as much as this one. It's not funny and it's not satirical.

I get the feeling it's now simply for the BBC to pat itself on the head that it's doing mainstream satire.

You know I'm right.

Oh dear. I don't think that I am an idiot, but I found it hilarious!

I like Judi Love but she was out of place on this. Contributed zilch. Intrigued by Paul Merton’s makeover recently- swept back hair and neckerchiefs and cravats. Sometimes it is lame but it has been great lately. Last night’s was boring.

Judi Love just looked bewildered and terrified to be there. I usually think she’s fabulous.

I think he's a TV train buff now. Like a Temu Michael Portillo.

Another idiot here then. Last nights wasn’t as good as sometimes. The week before was hilarious.

I thought it was pretty good yesterday. Phil Wang was good. Agree that Judi Love contributed nothing and was out of place.

Yeah I’m feeling it’s gone off the boil a bit. Last night was a bit rubbish, it’s a shame as it used to be one of my absolute TV highlights.

I enjoyed it as always.

I still enjoy it, but a relative of mine is sometimes one of the guests, so I am probably a bit biased. Haven't watched last night's episode yet.

I still think it can be really funny. Some weeks are better than others but you’d expect that. I like it and look forward to watching it!

Sometimes it is hilarious, other times I barely laugh.

I don't think that it is worse than it used to be, if anything Trump and Boris have given them much more material in recent years.

I stopped watching for a few years but started again a few weeks ago and am really enjoying it again. Yes it's a bit smart-arsey but it always has been.

I thought last night’s was pretty good, always enjoy Phil Wang. Though Paul wasn’t in top form. He’s always better with someone he clearly gels with, Stephen Mangan always my fave. Last week was brilliant.

Not watched it since it became a crime to take the piss out of anyone or anything.

I used to watch it, but I wish they’d put more young people on it. It feels like it’s a programme for the over 50s. 25 years ago when I was 30, it felt current, edgy, funny. If I was 30 now, I wouldn’t watch it.
In fact, I think that about most things on the BBC now. It does not cater for the younger generation at all and that is very problematic for its long term survival
