Some good matches today- and Djok has to play in the heat of the afternoon.
This isn't Melbourne- surely they won't close the roof for him. They haven't done it for any other matches (and it has been hot all week),so it would look very suspicious of they did it today.
Nothing would surprise me with Djok's team is concerned though.

I hope Casper has recovered from Monday- I don't think it was an injury, he was suffering in the heat. He will be better prepared with fluids and electrolytes today, i hope.

Maybe they will shut the roof on Lenglen for him? (His match may be later into the evening, but still warm).

Sascha Zverev plays Shortshorts Tomas Machac in the evening session. That has potential, if Sascha is not fully focused. Tomas could pull off an upset.

I didn’t manage to see Naomi’s outfit ‘live’ but I’m surprised that she was allowed to wear the dress - the sequins must have been quite distracting in the sunshine - I think that a player can only wear that sort of outfit if they’re guaranteed to win (and then it’s still questionable) - she would have looked pretty silly going out in the first round in that get up

I just saw the end of Felix’s match last night - he managed to win in the fifth set tiebreak - I like Felix but I was a bit surprised to see that he’s the fourth seed

FizzyI agree about only wearing daft outfits if a win is guaranteed- it hasn't always been the case for Naomi. She has made big entrances (at the Olympics , for example) and been beaten in the first round. It just makes it all the sillier.

And how do these outfits get approved (although I suppose the dress she played in 'passes' as a tennis dress, even though it was covered in bling).

Yes, I saw that yesterday, because AdM was already listed as a walkover on the order of play when it came out early afternoon. It will be a bit blow to Blockx, who really has been having a good season. I hope it's nothing too serious.

ADF is in trouble against Tirante- he won the first set, lost the second and the 3rd is rapidly slipping away.

I have to take my car for it's MOT in a bit . It is held together by duct tape and prayer. I barely do any miles in it- but I am hoping it lasts another year.
