Is anyone watching the reruns of the Waltons on Great Tv? I’m loving it. I haven’t seen it since the 1980s.

I love both the Waltons and Little House on the Prairie.

Freaked out the other day realising that actress playing Grandma Walton was 65. She seemed like 100 when I was young watching it on TV, I am 64 🤦‍♀️

Yes, she was only 35 in It's a Wonderful Life, but she always tended get cast to play characters who were older than her -- often 'old maid' busybody type characters.

She was a great character actress , much like Angela lansbury playing mother to people only a couple of years younger than her .

Did anyone ever watch The Sullivans? Australian soap opera that used to be on around the same time as The Waltons. I vaguely remember it was on around lunchtime.

Loved The Waltons on a Sunday, and Land of the Giants... anyone remember that?

I remember it being on TV, but I don't think I ever watched it -- my only strong memory of it is the opening credits, where the family are lined up for a formal group photo on the street, the two older sons are wearing sort of Fair Isle sleeveless jumpers, and the girl pulls the younger boy's cap down over his eyes and runs away with him chasing her... At the end, the dad puts on this terribly stern face for the photo (which child me found frightening).

I plan to rewatch from the beginning at some point! I might do Little House On The Prairie too.

I watched a load of reruns back in 2010/11. Can't remember what channel they were on. I had just moved out and was a little homesick, so it was comfort telly.

Absolutely loved the sullivans. I used to watch it when i came home for lunch at primaryschool. I never wanted to go back to school. .

Oh yes.. Lost in Space too! Loved Sunday afternoons.. and teatime was The Wonder Years!

Yes I think I watched if I was ill and off school (and on Fridays, when we only did a half day for some reason). The Sullivans, Pebble Mill at One and a lunch of a kipper and some brown bread and butter 😂
