Happy Easter (2026) Corrie fans! :) CORONATION STREET THREAD. **No spoilers please.**

Not much has changed since the start of the last thread - only been about 4 weeks since the last one was started.. So...... Following on from the last thread...

Carl hasn't been in it much this past few weeks, but still, no-one seems to be able to take him down. He's done so many bad things!

Mal is still dreadful.... and has just been beaten up by Kit (and tried to blame Dev,) but I think his game is up now Daniel heard him laying into Bernie (who he's been stalking!) Hopefully the stalking story is over, and Mal can leave!

Ma Driscoll was horrendous - but she is less horrendous I think. (Growing on me a bit.) Grin Kit is still fit. Ronnie and Kevin's new double act hasn't advanced much 😆 (I was enjoying their bad cop/bad cop routine too.) Jim McDonald died recently, and it emerges that Ma Driscoll had a bit of a thing with him many years ago, when she had her son Ben! 👀

Debbie is still in prison. Not seeing much of her at the moment. Hopefully we see more of her soon!

Hope is still cheeky as ever. Grin

Big story at the moment is Todd and Theo have just got married. They split up for a few weeks after Todd had just had enough of him, but Theo concocted a plan to make Todd miss a race he had been training for, and got back into Todd's head (and bed!) Then Theo railroaded Todd into a 'surprise' wedding, as he hadn't cancelled the booking at the Registry Office. Theo is really cruel and abusive to Todd, and poor Todd is just so beaten down by it all. Hopefully this storyline comes to a close too, because it's horrible watching Todd suffer, and also frustrating!

We also have Shona's sister Jodie popping up every 5 minutes, just working in the cafe, and offering her babysitting, and giving long lingering looks to David. And Tyrone who had been hit by a car that Carl was driving seems to be walking all of a sudden after spending the last few months in a wheelchair. Oh, and a baby has been dropped off at Carla and Lisa's home by a woman claiming it's the baby of the prison guard Carla's brother Rob was sleeping with. They just took her and are looking after her now - obviously. 😆

Mucky pervy Megan Trainer has been arrested for having a 'relationship' with one of her pupils, (Will Driscoll,) but Will is denying anything happened, so will they be able to do anything? Toyah, Eva, and Leanne have joined forces to try and bring her down. Especially as she has been blackmailing and bullying young Sam - Nick's son - as he can see her for what she is!

Phew.......

No, she is not pregnant, she had an abortion.

She said 2044 because the baby would in theory have been old enough to compete at the Olympics then.

I assume she had the termination in the past week because she didn’t want the ‘evidence’ which tied her to shagging Will. Although with Megan who knows, maybe she did originally have the termination back in January, and sold yesterday’s story to Will as ‘your evil grandma made me lose our baby’ even though there no longer was a baby. She never looked pregnant and she's good at lying to herself and everyonelse.

I liked the scene with Todd in the restaurant, telling Brian he wasn’t even interesting enough to slag off. That is very Todd. He isn’t going to go with Theo though is he.

From my understanding, Megan was seeing the counsellor because she’s had a termination not a miscarriage.

What about Theo and Todd in the Bistro?! Poor Summer. 😢 God I hate Theo.

The bag was a really stupid idea. Todd only has to walk to his old home where George is if he wants to leave. Why would he need an "escape bag"? Also there was really nowhere to effectively hide it in that tiny flat. A tiny bag would have done for all it contained!

Even George would not be daft enough to leave a bag like that with Todd for no conceivable reason. Todd didn't need it. It was just another excuse to ramp up the drama. It did give Todd a nice scene in the restaurant though.

George should have kept the bag at his place.
Maybe Todd could have passed it off as some early packing for Belfast and he put it away to keep things tidy. Although we know that Theo wouldn’t have fallen for that one, but may have bought a bit of time maybe ?
We never see their bedroom, but it may have been better to have put it in a cupboard in there. Although may not be the space I suppose.
Todd was horrible to everyone yesterday. I know why he was , but it was hurtful! Most people would have told him to do one after all that.

Its actually recommended by WA/ DV charities to pack a bag with essentials, meds, passport etc and leave it with a friend if possible in case of sudden need to leave.

Of course it had to be in the flat so Theo could find it ...

It should be Todd preparing the bag and giving it to George, not George giving Todd some unnecessary shampoo. Theo doesn't (yet) keep Todd under lock and key and he could walk over the road to George, but he doesn't want to (yet). So this felt like 'we need to include an escape bag even though it doesn't make sense'.

And no one has thought of the possibility that Theo is tracking Todd, despite turning up everywhere he goes.

It's part of the control Theo has over him, it's not uncommon. I was told after my relationship ended "It was his words coming out of your mouth" which was very hard to hear but sadly true. I couldn't be less like him but he somehow manipulated me into saying what he wanted said. It really was like being under a spell, although I couldn't see that until he was gone.

It was good last night that Theo let his true nature come out in front of Todd's support network, good to have what they're starting to realise confirmed.

Thought it was a good twist that Todd became very aggressive towards his friends ( Theo was loving it )
is he becoming as bad as Theo? or just angry with himself because he knows he’s being abused?
I’m enjoying the Bethany / Jodie storyline. She’s definitely onto her. Although still not sure what Jodie is actually up to?

And then when Theo jubilantly hugged him outside, Todd flinched and looked so miserable.

I did enjoy Todd's home truths. A lot of what he said was similar to opinions on this thread.
Adam and Alia should be struck off the solicitors whatever...surely they need an office? Adam never seems to play soccer with Harry or Bertie any more.

Daniel is Adam's uncle?? I don't know what I thought their relationship was, but it wasn't that. I should pay more attention more often.
