I also don’t think the ixperts would have condoned letting Mel walk down a groomless aisle.

Pianoaholic · 27/03/2026 07:29

'That was a lot' as they're so fond of saying on Mafs.
I was on the point of switching off as I didn't think I could stand Brooke any more.
Didn't see the after party but apparently it has spoilers? So will probably avoid it.

Appalonia · 27/03/2026 07:56

Tbf I don't think the After party had any spoilers 're whether the relationships worked out, was just more detail about what happened on the evening and short interviews with Stella and Alissa, then John, Chris and Danny about the night.

PersonalJaysus · 27/03/2026 08:01

I don’t think I can watch any more, I felt really stressed watching last night. Not for me.

Shame on the producers

WineBeforeWhine · 27/03/2026 08:11

I think the producers of MAFS have let themselves down, allowing that bullying to go on. They should have stopped Brooke from entering the room in the first place. I hope they tell her and Gia to leave the show (because that’s all it is, a show) Shame on them.

He definitely came across as the knob from your local pub who will pick a fistfight just for looking at him.

However, where they replayed Gia's comments from the first dinner party of her saying that she is definitely his type, it was awfully convenient how what Danny is alleged to have said was exactly word for word what she had said just a week earlier. Funny that. And that it was just her and Brook that heard him say those words is even funnier.

I thought the same. Very convenient that!

FergoMcFergFace · 26/03/2026 22:05

I agree - and you could see she was breathing rapidly in discomfort when it really kicked off.

I also respected Danny for standing up to Brooke ,even if it did bite him in the arse.

Me too. I felt sorry for Danny when she called him a Conor McGregor. Definitely not. Conor is a temu Danny.
He definitely didn’t use the words that Gia did, he’d probably said she was his type but not 100% his type. If I was a man I’d be embarrassed to date someone who looks like a porn star walking about in public. People stare, because it’s creepy not attractive.

I wonder do the producers run their ideas past the ixperts or do they only find out afterwards what has happened. I can’t believe they would have condoned getting Chris into the room any which way they could (notice we saw he had a place setting) and then letting Brook turn up mid dinner as a surprise (so presumably she had no place setting) with the only goal being to be abusive to the other women. Although how upset Chris was before going in is debatable - he sounded like he was crying but when he finally went in there were no bloodshot, puffy eyes. That might have been fake too.

There was very little shown of Scott last night. I want to know if he is going to call Gia out or if he will just carry on shagging her for the duration. My theory is that he knows they won’t work long distance post the experiment (his business and her child are in different cities) so is just enjoying the ride.

We don't know how long it was between Chris crying in the toilets and then coming into the dinner party. It makes sense that there was a place setting for him as he only started to become reluctant to attend on the way there.

I am also torn on the puffy, bloodshot eyes. I am someone who looks like shit after crying for days. Whereas I work with someone who cries every single day and looks like nothing happened within minutes of stopping crying.

It did also touch on things that have happened since the show. Where we have posters who don't want to know anything that's not being shown/ what has been happening since, it's best to class the after show as having spoilers.

Agreed. And while it's designed to be watched along with the series, even where there aren't explicit spoilers it's easy to infer to a degree how certain relationships pan out.

I might try to resist watching next week (but probably fail 🙃).

thenightsky · 27/03/2026 10:01

I don't think Gia is there to find a husband or long term partner. She's there to get as much air time as possible by fighting and falling out. Getting a shag is just the cherry on the cake.

I thought Rachel came across well in the episode. At the beginning she was saying she was uncomfortable with the divisiveness and she spoke the truth about what happened at the red/green flags meeting, even tho Gia and Bec were trying to deny it. And then she stayed out of all the nastiness as far as I saw ( I hope that's right).

I watched it last night (got home late), then watched the dinner party bit with subtitles on. So much more information there! When the yelling and loud stuff was going on, just as Brook was about to drop the bomb re what Danny did (or didn't) say, the subtitle came up without showing her saying it: RACHEL - THAT'S ENOUGH GUYS. Again, Rachel is the only one with enough gumption to call out the bully girls. She's gone up in my estimation hugely. Same at the beginning when Rachel sat with Bec and Knob Nose - "why don't "we" like Alissa"? Because editing can purposefully lose some stuff but if Rachel has missed the point too - - - ?

Bec, however, plummeted in my estimation with her shouted remarks and - both times - then looked to the main Bitches (Brook and Knob Nose) for their approval. Weak, spineless woman and I do hope she's really gone.

I'm fully aware of the editing, but - picking on the (Lithuanian? born) woman with the Croatian born husband and the wife of the only black guy - would Brook be ... the sort of person to vote Reform?

I've saved the aftershow thing as a treat for today. I am a sad person.

JaneJeffer · 27/03/2026 11:45

Chris was very red around his eyes. One of the men even said to him “you look like you’ve been burnt” so I think the crying was real.

EmeraldShamrock000 · 27/03/2026 12:47

I’d say the pressure is huge in there, Brook and Chris are from completely different walks of life, he is a football loving builder. It would be easy to feel uncomfortable living with someone who was such a stuck up witch.

ExtraPaddingForFallingOver · 27/03/2026 12:48

For once I’m glad of the weekend break, what an awful episode it was last night. I feel really weird about it, kind of grubby.

So much despicable behaviour, don’t these women realise that life goes on afterwards and you can be tarnished forever.

But I’m also very disappointed with Rebecca. I’m a woman of a similar age (50) and also recently, an empty nester.
One of the roles of being this age, I believe, is that we look out for younger people -especially younger women, because we have been there and know some of the silent struggles.
I am disgusted with her joining in the pack mentality.

loveawineloveacrisp · 27/03/2026 12:50

I didn't notice Rebecca joining in with the bullying. Maybe I was too flabbergasted by Brook's behaviour. It was so bad it made me think she'd been planted to cause trouble.

kenyaswhiterefrigerator · 27/03/2026 12:52

Gia making up with Bec as soon as she realised she had lost Brook as an ally.

Then reverting to the original plan to throw Bec and Danny under the bus once Brook reappeared.

What a piece of work

bookmarkymark · 27/03/2026 12:54

Do we not just think Brook is an actress, told to go on and be obnoxious?

The same as Julia-Ruth in the UK 2025 mafs, who had been in soap operas b3fore.....

I did wonder this, but it’s so extreme 🙈

I think there is a chance, I just can’t imagine why you’d want to be seen in that light.
If that does turn out to be true, I wonder if genuine people from the show would later sue. I wonder what kind of disclaimers they are made to sign
