Anyone else struggle to tell the difference between Suranne Jones and Sarah Parish?

I struggle to tell the difference between both of these British actresses as I feel they look so similar and even play similar parts! Everytime one of them comes on my screen I tend to say to my husband “is that the one that player Dr.Foster?”. My husband thinks I am mad and that they are nothing alike 😱

And I'm not being funny, but that is an old photograph of Sarah Parish, (at least 12-13 years old,) and it's rather flattering... She is not awful looking, but she's not conventionally pretty. Suranne is conventionally pretty! I also thought Suranne was more than a decade younger than Sarah. I'd have said a 15 year age gap at least...

I'm with you OP, but I have appalling facial recognition skills. Keira Knightly/Keely Hawes are the same for me too.

Have to agree with others, nothing alike other than both being women. They both have a distinct look, but not an over lapping one.

Now Harriet Walter and Juliet Stevenson, not a clue who is who.

They look nothing alike! Sarah Parrish has a broad, square face with wide teeth, Suranne Jones is much narrower and pointy, for want of a better word.

I don’t see it either. I do fangirl Suranne Jones a bit though, just because I like a lot of tv programmes she’s in and think she’s very attractive.

Apart from hair colour in these photos, I don't think they look similar at all. I've seen both in lots of things, especially Suranne - I'd recognise her anywhere.

The fact that Suranne Jones was utterly believable as both the endearing horror that was Karen McDonald and the chic, middle class women she more commonly plays now is a testament to her acting skills. Although the role in that Aimee Lou Woods programme looks to be a bit more Karen than Dr Foster? (I've not seen it).
I like Sarah Parrish The Cockfields. Tottering around with Nigel Havers permanently half-pissed 😆.
