Well that was an exhausting day . DD1 took DD2 to all the places she couldn't afford , and it seems I am invisible to all the people of Manchester (who keep walking straight into me).

But I was glad to see Casper won. Boo! to Neal and Christian getting a walkover though. I'm glad Matteo got through, sad it was at the expense of RBA.

Couple of matches today ,where really, I would have liked both players to get further- and this is one of them. The other is Musetti/Vacherot. Daniil not always comfortable on clay though (neither is Matteo, really).

I'm willing to 'sacrifice' Lore, so Valentin can win in front of his home crowd providing Lore can get decent results in the rest of the clay swing, and he usually does well on grass (though he was injured last year). 2025- The year of the dental hygienist kit .

Just seen the score for Matteo’s match. Very pleased for him but what on earth happened to Daniil? I know clay isn’t his surface but I’m surprised he didn’t get a few games at least.
