Actually this Specsavers soap could be a goer. Its USP could be that they keep swapping in lookalike actors so the audience is convinced their eyesight is going and they need to buy some glasses...

I do find Specsavers ads funny, but after a while they become boring, so they need to change frequently. I dislike the nosey old man one peering out of his window, then bending down so he’s not seen. True to life, though!

An optician opens a practice in the village. Like all the other medical people (except Liam) he is evil and is giving everyone the wrong prescription causing all sorts of chaos.

My favourite Specsavers moments are "not your Bebe' and poor guy in the restaurant who looks like Barry. The writers of those ads should have a go at soap scripts. Emmerdale producers are so short sighted.
