I like the Steve Backshall and Philip G suggestions. I’d add Dominic Sandbrook but he wouldn’t do it.

I think Ed Balls and George Osborne are both fans but also admitted they (alongside any politician) would probably end up being the first to be banished/murdered!

I’d hate for them, or Johnson, or someone like Piers Morgan to do it. I don’t want anyone in there where it feels like they’ve been put in to be contentious.

Obviously not everyone will like all the celebrities, but none of the first series were obviously “ooh they’ll go in and stir the pot and divide the audience” type people, and I liked that.

Going with Friday Night Dinner suggestions Simon Bird would also be good.

Agree no politicians should be allowed but Prof John Curtice the expert on voting practices would be great, he could analyse what they were all up to!

Victoria Coren-Mitchell would be good but the problem for her would be that the other celebs will be aware that she is a champion Poker player. She'd be banished at the first opportunity.

He said he would only do it if he was a Traitor, so that rules him out completely for any subsequent series.

Another vote for Bob Mortimer. Andy Murray is another good shout, as is Lucy Worsley.

Ian Hislop would be great, he has a long track record of wheedling out shift people, but I don't think he would touch it, he's never done any celebrity stuff. Paul Merton might though, he would be good, it needs some intelligent people on there.

Not Judi Love, she's been everywhere recently and her screeching drives me mad.
