I’m wondering about a visit to RG one day - it’s easier to get to (and hopefully less hot!) than the AO or the US Open - one day maybe

Whoever said Jannik drew the short straw with the kit colour was right, its bloody awful .

I think Humbert has been wearing a similar colour, makes him look like a boy scout from the 70s.

I’ve just see Jannik’s kit Raahh - yikes it’s bad - the matching trainers don’t help either

I’m sure he could get an Italian designer to make him something a bit more snazzy

I saw a clip where they asked Jannik about his kit and it was so funny. He's a polite guy and was obviously struggling not to insult the Nike designers.

I've been flicking between the various matches, mostly watching Grigor vs Tomas Machac and Hubi vs Zizou. Both of which are really unfortunate first rounds for all concerned. Grigor and Tomas are both wearing the same shade of primrose yellow that Jannik was wearing when he won last year.

Oh, Jannik's opponent has retired?

Yup- I'm sure they will go with something more prosaic - like the cactus green nonsense.

But-my first thought was 'baby's first poo'. .

I had to go out-was surprissed to come back and see Gaston had retired.

Oh- Belinda is continuing her good form then. Katie got the better nike kit!

Sonay Kartal lost earlier- but that was a tricky first round.

It is a shame that Grigor is playing Tomas, and Zizou is always a difficult one to play . I think Hubi might come through that one.

Grigor does look good in yellow. He looks good in pretty much anything. Maybe ot the splodgy tracksuit he wore the other year. That was a sartorial fail.

Had the best day at the AO today.. A highlight was watching Daniil practise for an hour., looking very smiley and relaxed. His team finish the practice with a quick game of petanque. Also saw the end of Sinner's practice session where he patiently signed many autographs. We saw Ben Shelton blasting his way through Humbert. We finished with Vacherot and Rinderknech in doubles and sat amongst their very glamorous French and Monegasque extended family. Lots of deep tans and gold jewellery.
