Apologies, I can’t see another thread so just starting this one in anticipation.

Can’t wait to see what the red cloak is all about!

I love the way they ramp up all the drama!

Yes, and it's not really telling us anything we don't already know, is it? But I bet it's sent at least one of them scampering to the library for a Latin dictionary... 😂

whataguddle · 02/01/2026 13:15

Judy and Roxie must be at an advantage as they can spill the beans to each other of what others are saying …as soon as one of the men said Judy was a possible traitor to Roxy she went off and told her when they were talking with Amanda.

Not sure re the ST Ross or Judy are my thoughts…

How do they decide who will be traitors?

TeideHeart · 02/01/2026 13:20

Thanks for that!

Not really useful. A red herring maybe if anyone thinks the tree will be helpful!

Oh no, you can't get caught looking at a book that's traitor behaviour 😉

MrsLeonFarrell · 02/01/2026 13:26

Not been able to watch it yet, I need family to go out! I like the secret traitor idea, for nothing else than it will show me how hard it is to spot the traitors! Plus it shakes up the traitors and changes the game.

Richard and Marina had an idea about adding, say 10k to the prize pot if the faithful got a traitor out. That would have helped the problem of it not really mattering when you catch traitors early on. I liked that one as well. In this game you really do need to keep changing things, as they pointed out Mafia and Werewolf have lots of special roles so they can pick and choose for a good long while.

I'm tending towards it just being a massive red herring as well. I suppose it could be used in a game at some point, or as part of a murder in plain sight?

I wonder if they'll cross people off as they get murdered/ banished.

Traitors-adjacent news - Clare Balding’s dad has died.

Ian Balding was a renowned racehorse trainer, best known for training the legendary Mill Reef.

His son, Andrew, took over the family business in 2002.

That's sad news. Brilliant trainer.

The vicar or the judge 🤔

The vicar. I've read one. It wasn't great. Nowhere good enough to be converted into a tv series that's for sure, and certainly wouldn't have been considered without that name attached.

Celiathebanshee · 02/01/2026 13:44

Fiona for ST for me please. Can we update our guesses after the next episode?
Thanks for that @TheGreenBow , it was bugging me that I couldn’t think who he reminded me of

looking forward to maybe tomorrow or next week when they are all immersed and forget they are on tv

RescueMeFromThisSilliness · 02/01/2026 13:47

There was a clairvoyant in one series too - she was absolutely useless

She wasn't in it long enough for us to find out! Everyone thought she was so annoying she was banished asap.

weegielass · 02/01/2026 13:48

I'm not really liking the ST idea so far but it might grow on me.

I think its a woman from a minority background and my thoughts are Netty or Jessie.

TheFifthTellytubby · 02/01/2026 13:08

Latin text reads: "Among the closest of friends lie hidden enemies, lest your trust become the cause of your own downfall and ruin." (assuming I've read the Latin correctly - it's a bit blurry!)

Well done!

BakedBeansforabrain · 02/01/2026 13:53

I’m going for Jade as secret traitor, she was the only one last night who said she didn’t want to be a traitor

saying that you want to be a faithful doesn’t mean you can’t be picked as a Traitor and this works with the secret twist because the audience won’t think it’s her.

I think there was an interview with Claudia where she said that she wouldn’t ever make someone a traitor who didn’t want to be.

I think that's what the producers want the traitors to think, so it probably isn't.

Sad news about Ian Balding. Top class trainer.

It can’t be Netty, she’s on the murder shortlist. Fiona is my best guess so far but there’s very little to go on. It was the ditzy acting during the task while almost smirking or trying not to laugh. It came across like she was trying to play a role rather than genuinely not understanding the task.

I think the ST twist will make the turret traitors more likely to work together and not throw each other under the bus so quickly. That might make things a bit harder for the faithful as well. I wonder if the ST wins the whole prize pot or splits it if they are in the final two or three with another traitor(s).

IAmKerplunk · 02/01/2026 13:59

I thought if you said you didn’t want to be a traitor then they wouldn’t make you one?

Amazing, thanks! Doesn’t give anything away, but good to solve the mystery!

whataguddle · 02/01/2026 14:01

The female barrister has changed a lot she used to have dark hair and was much bigger!! She’s a novelist ! Glad to see a mix of older ladies on the show.

xsquared · 02/01/2026 14:03

Oneforallandallforone · 02/01/2026 12:25

Has there been police in it before? It can’t be good for their careers! The one in this series couldn’t look more like one which won’t help. She’s already said too much so will be highlighted as a target.

I’m so so so glad the traitors have their hands tied and are mere puppets.

There was a clairvoyant in one series too - she was absolutely useless.

Not on the UK series, but there has been an ex detective of some sort in Traitors Oz 2. Didn't do them a great deal of good, as they were rubbish at banishing the traitors!

Silverbirchleaf · 02/01/2026 14:07

AuntyAngela · 02/01/2026 11:20

Just remembered something that bugged me!! When the "oh I thought putting the coffin in the grave saved people" woman got all offened a coffin was in her grave meaning she was up for murder, while ignoring the fact she, herself, chose other people to be in the same selection of people.

All very "why am i so special?" musing, that you just want someone to point out it's the same as reason everyone else.

Though, is she just self-centred or was it an attempt to emphasise she's just worried as everyone else she might be murdered? A "The lady doth protest too much, methinks." situation?

Was that Fiona, the older, blond lady? She genuinely was surprised she had be selected, and I felt she thought she was beyond suspicious, and/or surprised that people apparently disliked her.

Not Netty, as she wouldn't have shortlisted herself for murder.

weegielass · 02/01/2026 14:09

it could be a bluff though to put yourself forward for murder

They can't put themselves on the murder list for risk of them actually being selected.

Claudia also explicitly said that their name won't appear on the murder list.

Edited

And it gives the traitors a chance to work out who it is. Then they can plant ideas and lead discussions at the round table to get them banished.
