Apologies, I can’t see another thread so just starting this one in anticipation.

Can’t wait to see what the red cloak is all about!

I think Judy is being pointed at way too obviously as the ST, I think it’s Ross and that Netty will be the first murder.

I hope Judy doesn’t go too soon as I like her. I think she would have gone if there had been a banishment pre-murder, but you never know what will happen next or what might come up at the round table to lead them all down a particular path.

Thank you! Can you put me down for the ex-detective please? I just think she would be an excellent choice from a production point of view - and removes her skills from helping the faithful. I can’t remember her name though, sorry!

I do feel like a need a whiteboard or something to keep track of who’s being shortlisted each evening and who’s not. And who’s being mentioned and things. More so than other series

I think that if the ST isn't banished before a certain point then the Traitors may be given an opportunity to guess who they are or get a clue to their identity. Perhaps if a traitor is banished they may be given the opportunity to either recruit anyone (which could include the ST) or get the ST onto the standard traitor team.

Presumably the secret traitor can be banished in the same way as any others. I wonder if they will then reveal that that is what they were? Presumably they wouldn't be replaced once the secret is out.

I imagine they’d just reveal that they were a Traitor - that would be interesting to see the reactions of the known Traitors.

It will depend on what type of Barrister they are, Harriet was criminal but they either didn't say or I can't remember what Hugo's specialism is. The article posted above about Ross and Netty makes me wonder if the producers were perhaps not adverse to creating chances for acquaintances to come across each other on the show.

Just watching it now - loving it & the twist of the secret traitor! Not a fan of Hugo, so enjoying him not having all the power.

I think the ex police officer would make a great secret traitor but no clue who they actually are!

I like that theory because yes, some of the quieter/less featured ones I think are being saved for when it's their turn to play a part (eg they didn't introduce Roxy when we saw her at the station. It was only for the reveal about her mum that she got an intro and airtime. So that was her purpose in the first episode. Her mum's purpose is to be a red herring for the ST). Netty otoh, has had her airtime so, see ya later...

Was it Amanda? I think the ST is either Amanda or Sam.

He mainly seems to specialise in financial sanctions and anti money laundering from what I can see

I've just caught up on the programme but not all of the thread yet. I like the ST twist - Hugo is particularly annoyed about it - hah!

I recommend listening to the Rest is Entertainment podcast. Some very interesting ideas and views.

I really enjoyed the twist.

I first thought Fiona but really its impossible to say as the show will be edited to make us think one person and then the other.
I absolutely love how annoyed the visible traitors are that they aren't controlling the game They are just puppets really and in such a weak position.
I wonder what will happen though if the 'red cloaked' traitor is banished early on in the series. It will make it a bit pointless?

I don't like the change of the red traitor..I do wish they wouldn't change the winning formula.

If the ST gets banished early on, will the producers choose a replacement?

I think they would just continue with the regular traitors then.

The traitors will spend their time hunting for the red cloaked traitor and trying to ensure she or he is banished so they regain control of the game.

I hope they don't succeed.

I'm glad they changed the formula to keep it interestng. I've watched quite a few of the series now - New Zealand, Ireland, America and it was getting too predictable.

Good to see I'm not the only one who thinks he' looks like David Tennet. My youngest reckoned I'd lost the plot when I said it to him

I think Roxy is the secret traitor, the fact that Janet is getting some flack positions Roxy as a perfect red herring!

Its all down to editing as regards who the audience suspect as the secret traitor.

I thought Jade for ST. Don't really know why, perhaps because she's so under the radar so far.
I'm not sure if I like the ST twist or not yet. The Seer backfired last time (though it could have worked so much better if Frankie had picked Alexander, I'm still annoyed about that as you can tell!)
