Read somewhere that the finalists work for Siralan before he decides but we don't see this on the programme. Is this true?

Don't think so...

There is a time lag between the interview stage and the final so perfeclty possible they have a project in the interim. They are doing 2 teams of 2 tonight, one gets eliminated then one of the remaining pair is appointed.

when is it all filmed? - is it live tv with siralan tonight or all pre-recorded - so why are the finalists in the newspapers today if they know who's won? very confused!!!!

I'd heard that too Cupsof. Someone told me that they actually work for him for six months and that they film different endings He must be able to choose the winning team tonight because surely if he wanted say, Claire, to win, what if she was on the losing team?

Lubyloo · 11/06/2008 15:40

I know that last year both finalists worked for him for several months last year. They filmed two different endings to the final boardroom. The finalists were told who had won on the day that the final was broadcast.

I knew someone who was involved in the final at Tower Bridge and that was filmed quite a long time before the final episode.

According to this yes he does temporarily employ the finalists, and yes they shoot different endings

Ah. I knew (and have posted before so that may be where some of you heard it) that the two finalists worked for Sir Alan for quite some while before the winner was announced, but I assumed that he used this time to make his decision. I didn't realise that he does actually make the decision on the day of the final boardroom.

Wonder if he then goes on to regret his choice once they have both worked for him for a bit!

i'm not sure if it's still done, but whatever series "the Badger" was in they definitely were employed in various positions for 6 months before the decision was made.
