What was Craig's snarky comment about Vito? I didn't quite catch it, and didn't understand it.

No doubt Amber will be in the dance off again and if that happens she will knock out whoever she's up against.

Yes, it’s a bit predictable now. Strictly has become a bit of a yawn fest.

PrizedPickledPopcorn · 14/12/2025 08:57

Don’t forget, @LydiaFunnyGums , being a professional dancer in West End is very different from learning Latin and Ballroom! 😁

Whereas Karen, Bal and George haven’t had any pesky previous experience to unlearn! They’ve had the advantage of being Absolute Beginners!

Karen has danced competitively, how is that an absolute beginner?

threesocksmorgan · 14/12/2025 09:39

I find it odd that people are voting for Amber because she has had a hard time with online stuff.

LydiaFunnyGums · 14/12/2025 09:44

LiftAndLetLift · 13/12/2025 19:05

Karen may not have Amber's technical dance ability but she has 10000% more heart and warmth.

Totally agree.

Was it something about Vito dancing ahead of his partner?

cordelia16 · 14/12/2025 10:17

Been rewatching all of Molly & Carlos' dances. They were amazing together. Forgot how good their tango was. And Molly was an exceptional dancer (she got a 10 from Shirley for her rumba!). Still salty that she didn't win lol.

deadpan · 14/12/2025 10:18

From what I've seen people are only complaining about Amber's West end career compared to the others having no dance experience or childhood dance classes. The others are out of their comfort zone, Amber isn't shes well and truly in her comfort zone so it's appropriate for the judges to critique her more than the others and mark accordingly.
It's unfair that strictly asks professionals to join as celebrities, how many of them are going to turn it down because it has the potential to improve their career. I assume it's because they now have a tour and want "good" dancers to be part of that as well as the plebs.
I'm quite surprised Amber said yes, Layton complained about the public's reaction to him being on the west end and she says she had negative comments from Love Island. Strictly really need to give this more attention and not blame the public.

KatyaKanani · 14/12/2025 10:20

I agree, @deadpan . I also think there's a difference between having a competitive hobby as a teenager, and being in a West End musical.

Not sure - would have to rewatch! But considering who Vito's partner was this year, that's an odd comment!

Craig said that Karen was dancing a bit ahead of the beat but that's something Vito does too so not to worry, or words to trust effect 😁

Mollie also got a lot of stick she is a stage school kid and some trolls on the Internet were just mean about her.

On here people have been criticising her personality, calling her fake and insincere.

ChristmasinBrighton · 14/12/2025 11:13

I’m praying for some miracle whereby it’s Amber and Karen in the DO so Amber goes and we can have a stress free final.

KimberleyClark · 14/12/2025 11:26

What do people think the Strictly producers should do when people drop out at the last minute? Have “reserve” celebrities training alongside those selected for the show? How many celebs would be up for that?

Not sure maybe someone less ringery than Amber but they miss the first week as a by. The same as when a contestant misses a week to injury or sickness. The only thing with that is that they won’t be there from the start and the audience might not warm to them as much. But they could still be interviews on the first night and do it takes two or something.

or do what they did when La Voix and no one gets voted out till week 3 or something

Yes, interesting question. It sounds like they need to have a few more reserves, who, if not used, can do it the following year. Rather than relying on people like Amber.

Yes, that's a good idea, a last minute celebrity, not a ringer, who then gets a bye for the first vote.

Figgygal · 14/12/2025 11:37

I don't care who wins
Not even sure I'll watch next week
Feeling sad I'm so indifferent

Lottapianos · 14/12/2025 11:41

I will watch the final but I'm not remotely excited and I don't really care who wins. I'm gutted about Lewis and SO VERY SAD about Tess and Claude leaving. I really will miss them so much - they've been such a joy for so many years

I am not bothered either tbf it has been such a meh year.

Bluffinwithmymuffin · 14/12/2025 11:54

I’ve enjoyed this series as much as any other, but not too bothered about who wins this year.
It seems to me the balance of absolute beginners, those with some experience, and your out and out ringer, is roughly the same every year, and about as fair as it can, or needs to be for a light entertainment show. There’s no pleasing everyone, and for me, no such thing as a bad Strictly (at least not yet).

FrothyCothy · 14/12/2025 12:20

Agree it’s been fine, the main pleasure I get from strictly these days is watching it with DD and trying to accurately guess Craig’s comments (knew transitions would get a mention last night!). An easy way to pass a few hours on a Saturday evening, especially once the nights draw in and the Christmas decs are up.

firstofallimadelight · 14/12/2025 13:17

I want George to win he was fab last night. I also really like Karen. I wonder if balvinder and Amber will be in the dance off with bal leaving

I assumed he meant Carlos. But harsh tho
