Presumably she was already on the emergency standby-by list, which she didn’t have to agree to be on. That would have been arranged in advance. But OTOH the BBC shouldn’t have done it.

George has the vibe and rhythm but Alexia showcasing again!

I liked it, although I'd have liked more of him dancing and less lifts

He executed it really well. Slightly light on Charleston steps but they were done well and it takes skill to fling her around like that.
I liked the character of it.

I enjoyed that though the lifts (that were hard to be fair) were a bit messy, not easy throwing someone around like that though

The songs are better this week. Much better than musicals week.

But comedic dances require skill and that was sadly lacking. So clunky.

I’ve just realised that Strictly has become a series of TikTok imitations of dances. Before somehow the contestants seemed to genuinely learn & inhabit the dances (the good ones). I dunno it’s just really off now. I think it’s time is up.
