Couldn’t think of a title!

Ohh my God !
A Lemon Drizzle bake off between them 4 would have been epic ! 😅

🤣

You’d never see a grizzly baby like that now. The baby would be born and then disappear until they’re 15.

Oh no

OP posts:
JaneJeffer · 15/01/2026 16:09

This is harrowing

This is such good acting and very upsetting

JaneJeffer · 15/01/2026 16:16

I’m bawling at it

JaneJeffer · 15/01/2026 16:22

This is also the last appearance of Jack today as the actor was taken ill and never returned.

Oh no, it is? 🙁

RaraRachael · 15/01/2026 16:26

I didn't realise that about Jack. Sad episode all round 😪.

It just shows how well they could do things back in the day compared to the fad fetched rubbish we have to put up with now.

bizzey · 15/01/2026 17:43

I knew this episode was due so to speak, but ...ohh my goodness 😔 😭.
I bawled the whole way through.

Didn't know that about Jack.
Does he go to Spain now ?

I thought Victoria was older when that all happened ?

RaraRachael · 15/01/2026 17:48

I'm not ine to get emotional at telly but Ihave a grandchild of a similar age so it really affected me.

I doybt we'll be emotional at tonight's episode other than anger.

OnTheBoardwalk · 15/01/2026 20:23

Gosh that was awful viewing. I sort of knew the story but hadn’t seen it before

well done to everyone on the show.

What got me the most I think (and a lot of it did) was Laurel calling PC Windsor Dingle 'Donna' . For me that really cut across the heartbreak of the situation and the formalities of what has to be done at the difficult time

RaraRachael · 15/01/2026 22:44

I always rated Ashley as an actor but Laurel was so good today

JaneJeffer · 16/01/2026 00:01

I think Charlotte is a brilliant actress. She can do everything from comedy to tragedy. Nicola is the same. They never dial it in.

Bawling again 😭😭.

JaneJeffer · 16/01/2026 19:34

I missed it today. I need to see if I can find it on YouTube but I read that the classic videos were taken down because of copyright. Stupid ITV.

JewelleryCat · 16/01/2026 19:40

If you can find it @JaneJeffer, I thought Shadrach was really good today and a very sad episode. I miss Jack already

CherryogDog · 17/01/2026 23:19

Shadrach had me crying, he's a really multi layered character.

So i never understood the Shadrach love on this thread and have been ‘thrown off the thread’ many times for it

but i felt the Shadrach love now, it was heartbreaking to see his pain

when Laurel ran out to him barefoot it was really moving

CherryogDog · 17/01/2026 23:45

@JaneJeffer I've had a look on YouTube, most of '94 is on there but not yesterday's.
Is it repeated in the morning where you live?

Yes I should be able to watch on Monday morning. I found Thursday’s episode on Dailymotion but the person whose channel it is seems to be obsessed with Michael Jayston so only puts episodes he’s in along with his back catalogue of other programmes!

I've always liked Shadrach. I know he came across as a bit of a lech sometimes but that was "of the time".
He was fairly harmless and I hate how he's portrayed retrospectively as an abusive DV character.

It was been utterly heartbreaking to watch him think he was to blame for Daniel's death.

It just shows how much the quality of acting has deteriorated.

CherryogDog · 18/01/2026 10:07

Every scene with Shadrach hit me in the feelies, with Jasmine, Diane and Laurel.
So supportive with Sam and Samson.
I don't think it's long before Jenny and Brenda rock up.
Comparing the stories and acting with modern Emmerdale, it's almost a different programme altogether.
