Hearing those violent kicks to Vinnie and his cries of pain was disgusting for early evening TV. I fully expected it to get even worse and for Vinnie to die. He's a delicate and peace loving soul and was already the underdog in his relationship with horrible and selfish Gabby. God knows how this one is going to play out.

Even if Vinny didn't want to call the police, so confessing how this all came about, at least he could have cancelled the bank transaction. But, no - that's what we would do, not soap characters.

I suppose the point is to get everyone talking, which has been achieved. Matters not that it's for the wrong reasons.

As an aside the Mack actor was on Loose Women today …he’s one of the few good ones at the moment a voice of reason in the Sarah surrogacy shit! Charity didn’t want to get pregnant and have a child with Mack but she volunteers to carry a baby for Sarah …😮

I’m undecided as to whether to watch it ‘live’ tonight, but don’t want to miss watching it with you lovely people. I’m not sure if there’s more Vinny violence if I can watch it.

I’m normally a bit of a lurker on this thread, but I’m another one who really didn’t like last night’s episode. I’m not going to watch live tonight and will check this thread later to see if it seems ‘safe’ to watch or not. I really think the script writers & producers got this wrong.

For personal reasons, a couple of other recent storylines have been difficult but I actually thought they (mainly) did them well. There can be a place for soaps to tell difficult stories in a sensitive way and I have been really impressed with characters such as Belle and Ruby. But I can’t see anything at all positive about last night’s episode and it was definitely not appropriate for 7:30pm.

I am the only one but I wasn’t offended by the Vinnie storyline, I think it highlights the increasing hate towards minority groups.
