What a waste of an amazing holiday to Malta! Imagine staying somewhere so luxurious and having to eat seeds for breakfast and no alcohol. The rich couple are like a parody of a rich couple - snobby, patronising and money-obsessed but zero fun. I really like Beth, the ‘poor’ Mum.

I liked the Beth too. Gary seemed a bit reserved. The kids were nice and it was nice of them to pay for a holiday for them. They were just used to the finer things in life I think and had different expectations.
Money and privilege does that to people.

Tho what The rich daughter said about being a best holiday as all together was true

Yeah I would have been gutted to go on a 5 star holiday and be told I could t have wine!! F off!! I’m in my 50s and can do what I want!!
poor family joined in with everything but roach ones didn’t. Says it all. Think I preferred the older version when the poor ones could enjoy their trip and you got a laugh at the rich ones who though camping etc was beneath them.

wonder if they really wanted to give them a holiday or if they thought it would make them look good on telly. At least the Leafs will get to enjoy the things they want to do!

I'm watching the first one now .... fabulous hotel in Malta, we've stayed in a cheaper one around the corner and I used to walk past this and wish we could afford to stay there! Saying that looking online, you can get a reasonable room (not a suite!).

But what a joyless pair ... I'd want to make the most of the gorgeous food and wine/cocktails. It's not just the not drinking, I've got lots of lovely friends who don't, I can't quite put my finger on what it is!

And also such a huge amount of money and living in a house that’s overlooked like that 😳

I though £400 for a meal for 4 was good value.

Without any alcohol? Seems a lot.

£100 a head on food at a nice restaurant is great value, the food looked lovely and good Sushi is an art.
