We're in the middle of the long hot Summer of 2025. CORONATION STREET THREAD. **No spoilers please.**

You can see half the cast all shiny from the heat and humidity. And probably will for a couple more months yet at least!

Not a lot has changed since the beginning of the last thread!

Nina and Summer had a close shave when the police thought they'd attacked Gary when they were 'tripping.' Turned out it was Lou (who has been arrested.)

Lauren is falling for Aadi (he is cute to be fair.)

Debbie is fairly stable but sadly still has dementia.

Looks like Mick is going to cause trouble again, after being arrested for killing Craig. And Sally and Tim have been taking care of his and Lou's children.

Not much to be seen of the older characters, (I mean - like people who have been there 20+ years, not just the ones who've been there from the 1960s/1970s etc,) and Corrie is a little bit crime, and doom heavy at the moment.

But we do have a few 'light-hearted' moments to keep us going.

George and Glenda are always worth watching, Tim and Steve are funny together. Not fond of Cassie, but am warming to her and Steve being together, (and am warming to her a bit...) Debbie is a star and it's sad that she's ill, and DeeDee appears to be pining for her baby that she has 'given' to her brother James. James is being a bit of an arse to her too. Hope the little girl (Laila) stays in Coronation Street! She is adorable!

Kev has been given the all clear and doesn't have cancer now, but is telling everyone he does. Tyrone has caught him out though, and told him he needs to tell Abi!

Swain has been given desk duties, and counselling, (after the trauma of the death of her colleague Craig,) but isn't taking to the counselling, as she thinks she's fine.

I hope that Hope doesn’t run off to the gig, get abducted by aliens and they can’t find her to rescue her because her phone is broken after jumping out of the biscuit tin into the water

I like Hope, as PP said Fizz is weak as is Tyrone, they need Evelyn back

We saw little Dorrin twice - once when he was hiding in the shed and popped his head out to whisper to Carl and then when playing cars with Fizz and Abby. He likes to ad-lib and chatter, very sweet!

edited to add: not sure what the whole freezer story was about as the lost Dorrin hide & seek jeopardy didn’t last long.

I was thinking the freezer episode was just a crazy idea to facilitate more Abby/Carl slavering over each other BUT anyone disposing of a fridge/freezer should ensure it's empty before taping it shut (specially if there are dozens of invisible children living a few feet away). Not only that but the firm collecting it would check nothing inside if it wasn't sealed shut.

Yet again the writers proved they're not up to their jobs. 🙄😕

Im deeply sad but I searched the kitchen for a new fridge. Nothing to be seen!

Where the hell did that fridge freezer with all the rust on ..come from anyway ??? 😦 🤔😅😅.

The FF got put outside ages ago .

How would Dorian get outside and get in it ..
(I know he didn't..but have the script writers not realized yet that super little Dorian is the star of the show ...and would not be that stupid!

The last FF debacle was Chesney and Fizz's one with the ice maker thing in it .

He's her nephew by marriage, as Ryan's mum (Michelle Connor/McDonald) is Carla's ex-husband's (Paul Connor) sister, so there's no direct blood relationship, but even so.

but they are some sort of cousin as Johnny Connor was her dad

But Dr Ali is the blood relative.
(Who she has had it off with! !)

Ryan is not blood relative to anyone as he was the ' swapped ' baby .

Not her blood relative..but her (dead /ex) husband's blood relative..
Even though it was not known at the time .

All these story twists and big fridge freezers turning up out of nowhere has given my a right frazzling !

I thought the rusty fridge came out of the shed that Tyrone had to clear for Steve's stuff? Which is another ridiculous storyline

Council could have taken it before putting it in the shed .

The shed used to be empty as Hope kept all her paraphernalia about her dad in there !

Oh yes @bizzey- Hope had all those books about John Stape. And didn’t she also hide her matches in there?

I don’t mind her character and if she stays into adulthood I can see her becoming a really nasty piece of work.

That FF is still bugging me !

They took it out of the shed ,that was in the yard (next to the back gate ) and dragged it through the he house and out the front door !

Yeah the FF was supposedly out front, yet we didn't see it at all did we, as people kept coming and going out of Casa Fizrone..

I knew as soon as it was mentioned that there'd be a 'is Dorin dying in a fridge' bit. Soooo predictable. Shame it wasn't Hope and she was actually in there, she really grinds my gears. Fizz and Ty are so so weak with her!

I think I must be the only person who doesn't find Dorrin "cute".

I don't really have an opinion on Dorin yet, but the dreadful Deedee's little girl, Laila, although not a great actress, is very cute indeed.

Wouldn't Deedee be on maternity leave ?

It's truly daft isn't it? Steve sharing the couch with Cassie - to SLEEP on? Really?! When I am lying on the couch, I can just about fit the cat on it too. Unless it's a massive 5 person family couch, 2 people would not be able to sleep comfortably on it. And Fizz and Tyrone's couch is not a big one! Even one of them sleeping on it would be uncomfortable.

Same here. DeeDee always has the same angsty, rolly eyed, sighing look/attitude, and breathy voice in every episode she's in.

I thought Cassie slept in the front room that we never see like a lot of the other homes. Assumed it had a bed
