You can see half the cast all shiny from the heat and humidity. Grin And probably will for a couple more months yet at least!

Not a lot has changed since the beginning of the last thread!

Nina and Summer had a close shave when the police thought they'd attacked Gary when they were 'tripping.' Turned out it was Lou (who has been arrested.)

Lauren is falling for Aadi (he is cute to be fair.)

Debbie is fairly stable but sadly still has dementia.

Looks like Mick is going to cause trouble again, after being arrested for killing Craig. And Sally and Tim have been taking care of his and Lou's children.

Not much to be seen of the older characters, (I mean - like people who have been there 20+ years, not just the ones who've been there from the 1960s/1970s etc,) and Corrie is a little bit crime, and doom heavy at the moment.

But we do have a few 'light-hearted' moments to keep us going.

George and Glenda are always worth watching, Tim and Steve are funny together. Not fond of Cassie, but am warming to her and Steve being together, (and am warming to her a bit...) Debbie is a star and it's sad that she's ill, and DeeDee appears to be pining for her baby that she has 'given' to her brother James. James is being a bit of an arse to her too. Hope the little girl (Laila) stays in Coronation Street! She is adorable!Smile

Kev has been given the all clear and doesn't have cancer now, but is telling everyone he does. Tyrone has caught him out though, and told him he needs to tell Abi!

Swain has been given desk duties, and counselling, (after the trauma of the death of her colleague Craig,) but isn't taking to the counselling, as she thinks she's fine.

Sorry if I've missed anything!

George is a nice guy, but also a cocklodging pain in the ass!

A perfect match for Jenny then.

JMSA · 09/08/2025 11:11

He has zero self-awareness. He knew that his relationship with Eileen was on the way out, but didn’t have the balls to end it and clung on for dear life (despite her having lost all respect for him). And now he’s doing the same with Todd and Theo 🤯

Freysimo · 09/08/2025 11:28

@bizzey I agree about overload of sexual innuendos, one would have been sufficient. As usual, the writers overegg the pudding. I lost count of the number of snogging couples last night and don't get me started on Jenny fancying George, that's just desperate.

ExitPursuedByABare · 09/08/2025 12:31

For some reason I didn’t think Jenny and George were a similar generation

Gingercar · 09/08/2025 13:40

I actually think Jenny and George could end up a decent couple. They can both act and could end up a strong character couple. A bit Alf and Audrey.

Is Aadii leaving then? Seems a shame and a bit sudden if so.

carmak · 09/08/2025 13:58

George is looking pretty good these days, Jenny thought so.

Middlemarch123 · 09/08/2025 16:49

George fixing Jenny’s leaky O ring was just cringe on too many levels.

Not as bad as Bernie insisting on taking the butter to bed.

Think of the sheets!

True!

Jenny and George is a cracking business partnership!

George does the funeral and Jenny takes care of the wake !

Kerching £££££!! 😅😅

FeatherDawn · 09/08/2025 18:59

George with his shirt open gave me strong Kenneth Du Beke vibes 😂
Jenny what are you thinkingConfused

eggandonion · 09/08/2025 19:04

Jenny is thinking that George can fix things. Which is an attractive skill!

MonickerMonica · 09/08/2025 20:29

Comparing George in his wet shirt to Colin Firth's Mr Darcy 🙄.

Oh Jenny you can have George. He's a decent enough man but sex appeal gave him a swerve as far as I can see. I know he's an undertaker but he seems to have no humour or passion about him. Are they the next couple to be seen chasing each other up the stairs? 🫤

That's why I've never taken George seriously.

Deadringer · 09/08/2025 23:40

With all the innuendo flying about Corrie is in danger of turning into corrie-on

MonickerMonica · 10/08/2025 10:01

I had never watched Benidorm so had no clue about Kenneth du Beck. After reading above posts I've just damaged my eyes by checking out Corrie's George in his other guise.

😱

Love a bit of Kenneth - beautifully played by Tony Maudsley. His relationship with Liam was wonderful (another underrated actor). To quote:
“Liam! Lately you’ve been developing quite a nasty, peevish uncharitable streak! I like it”

suburburban · 10/08/2025 11:11

yes he was so different in Benidorm and barely recognisable as George at first glance

Wow!

I saw him not so long ago as a postman in Doc Martin or something along those lines.

I really wish Corrie would fuck off with shoehorning sex and cockapoo 'jokes' into any space that should be filled with decent writing, storylines or incidentals. It's tacky and beyond tedious.

Lorrymum · 10/08/2025 14:03

Sick of all the cringy sex references.
Not clever and definitely not funny.

Carry on Corrie

I would wind in all the PDA

Stan and Hilda never carried on like this
