So Love Island is now on week 3. Will the arguing and bickering and catfighting continue....... ??? (Probably!) 🙄

It is quite hard to imagine getting to 29 without ever having been in an actual relationship. I wonder what sort of discussions the people responsible for casting the show had? It seems quite cruel to set up a situation where a young woman of 22 has endured feeling unhappy (and publicly humiliated and lied to by people considerably older and wilier than her) for at least half the time she’s spent in the villa.

Extremely sad to see Dejon’s ingrained racism displayed on TV. He was so all over Billykiss (in terms of praise and admiration) yesterday, but the very second she opposed his view in public he turned on her and was far nastier than he would have been to any of the other women. Horrible to see.

It's concerning as well that this is the second time a guy has made this kind of comment in the villa. Did it. Ben say it to Yasmin?

I agree with PP that the producers don't seem to be reading the room, it does feel like the majority of the villa are laughing behind Shakira's back- and there's no comeuppance for them. It's actually starting to look like bullying now, Helena and Meg whispering about Helena wearing Shakira's bikinis AGAIN. I don't know why she'd dare, Shakira IMO has the best body in the villa- Little Miss Heroin Chic should want to avoid drawing comparisons there! Maybe she's trying to rile Shakira to the point she explodes, like she did with Toni, so she can snigger and sneer in her face and tell her 'it's not that deep'.

I think Meg and Dejon are egging Helena and Harry on because they see Shakira as a threat to their crown- she's naturally pretty, the boys always say she's 'the fittest in the villa' (including D) and she seems a nice genuine person. Something's off because Meg and Helena are apparently good mates, yet Meg's not saying encouraging Helena. Wouldn't a friend be saying 'Harry's playing you' or 'he'll hurt you again'. She's encouraging her to be the fun-time side chick shag.

I'm hoping Dejon and Meg's defensive and spiteful outburst at Billykiss will naturally pull Billykiss to the Shakira/ Toni/ Yasmin girl grouping, leaving the Helena/ Meg/ Emily witches coven well alone.

Bring on a healthy dose of Karma, perhaps in the form of an Ovie-style king, who comes in all for Shakira.

Harry seems to have lost his mind since the heartbeat challenge and Helena’s immortal words. They are both as sad as each other.

I agree he's a totally different person around Helena. She brings out the 'fuck boy' in him. Look how he was sniggering with her about how "he just needs to bin it" with Shakira after appearing to be genuinely promising S that he was all hers the day before. It's all these other people getting in his head. He'll go off with Helena but will regret it. I love Shakira, and I also mostly like Toni for her fierce loyalty, though I think she's a bit mental sometimes. I think she's shown the most genuine reaction so far to being 'pied', in her case by Harrison.

Can't stand Meg and I totally agree with Billykiss - if D really liked Meg he would 'close it off'. He's just hedging his bets.

I'm loving Shakira's total lack of reaction to Helena wearing her bikinis. She knows they look far better on her, so no words needed and Helena is doing her work for her 😂 Personally though, I'd be binning anything that had been up somebody else's sweaty crack 🤮

I'd like her well away from Harry, as he really is toxic and ruining her time in there, but I also don't want Helena to "win". Really hoping Harry is outed properly just before Casa and there's a stunning, highly intelligent man in there for her.... I realise there's more chance of Frank Spencer strolling in though 😫

I’m assuming they each choose a haul from the available EBay wardrobe at the start - so Helena is picking something - not yet worn - from Shakila’s haul?

The idea of wearing a bikini someone else has worn is not something I can contemplate. If Shakila feels the same, then Helena is effectively making her rival’s wardrobe smaller every time she filches something from it.

Helena is awful isn't she? I don't think she really wants either boy I think she just wants to win.. I really don't like Meg either. Total mean girl.
The boys are absolutely rubbish this year apart from maybe Geo and Tommy.

He's quite clever in how he never gets particularly defensive when called out on things. He actually shoulders some of the blame and plays the sympathy card, poor me, you're too good for me, I'm self sabotaging as I don't deserve good things in my life 🙄🙄 If he threw a strop when confronted, like most blokes would, Shakira would have binned him ages ago.

I think Harry, Harrison and Dejon have forgotten that there is a thing called “Movie Night”. Whereas Helena doesn’t care because she hates all the girls except Meg. She’d turn on Emily if needed.

Oh and those bikinis need to go on a boil wash.

If Giorgio and Tommy are the ‘best’, one can only conclude that nice men make really, really boring contestants! On the whole. (I never saw the fabled Ovie.)

If they stay together, I'm not sure Shakira and Harry would survive the aftermath of movie night 😳 As another pp said, most of the chats we're seeing between Harry and Helena are suggestive and flirty. Wonder if he'll also go back to Helena to play safe rather than risk all that being shown to Shakira.

Hope Shakira finds someone decent in Casa.

Im sure last year there was a bikini - a yellow one with green trim - that about four or five of the girls wore at different times. I don't usually take much notice, but once I'd seen it I kept noticing it!

I don't think Helena even likes Meg but sees her as a useful pawn to carry stuff about herself and Harry to Dejon so he can spread it.

Agreed @CellophaneFlowerHelena is desperate for Movie Night, so much so that I do wonder if her recent conversations with Harry have been set up/encouraged by the producers to generate the Movie Night content.

Contestants rarely bother me this much but Helena is an utter disgrace. I’m ashamed for her. I agree with PP that she just sits there offering herself to Harry. It’s cringeworthy. Harry is just a gormless, randy, pratt around her. They are both trying to provoke Shakira so that they can justify their awful behaviour.

I agree that Toni is a complete loose cannon but I do mostly love her if only because she seems to be a really good friend.

Shakira seems like a completely different person from that first week - I think M and H just took a dislike to her because she’s naturally pretty, funny, strong and all the boys were desperate to couple up with her.

Megan is just telling Dejon that he likes her. Not closed off though and he was definitely v different around Balikiss. I thought he was awful in the way he spoke to her when she had the audacity to challenge “my Meg.”

Yas has really grown on me and I really like her now.

I definitely agree that the men are rank this year the way they behave and speak to the girls is horrible. Really misogynistic. Giorgio and Tommy are the only real exceptions though Connor is much better than the others.

Re, the show... As I say I haven't been a fan of Shakira thus far; just something about her I didn't like but I couldn't put my finger on it, and I didn't like Yasmin either, and I liked Alima, Toni, and Helena, and Megan (brunette Irish Megan.)

How the tables have turned. I have warmed to Shakira, and am feeling sorry for her, and I like Yasmin now!

Really disliking Helena, and think she's a proper snake, and I went right off Megan before she went. Am indifferent to Alima now, and I am irritated by Toni. Toni is always sulking and pouting.

Hope Helena is evicted/booted out soon. Awful woman!
