One of the most talked-about crime dramas you might have missed is finally coming to ITV(https://www.hellomagazine.com/tags/itv/) this summer. Suspicion (https://www.hellomagazine.com/film/20220205132486/suspicion-apple-tv-meet-cast-new-series/)
, the high-stakes thriller starring Uma Thurman (https://www.hellomagazine.com/profiles/20091008746/uma-thurman/)

new thriller /drama with 8 episodes

Suspicion follows the story of five seemingly ordinary individuals who find themselves under investigation after the son of a powerful American businesswoman is kidnapped.

That woman is played by Uma, 54, who brings sharp intensity to the role of Katherine Newman.

The group of suspects — all British citizens — are drawn into a tense cross-Atlantic manhunt involving the National Crime Agency and the FBI.

As their lives unravel and secrets come to light, the series keeps viewers guessing about who’s guilty and who’s hiding what.

The Brits are then quickly thrust into a transatlantic cat-and-mouse game with the National Crime Agency and the FBI, all while trying to prove their innocence and not betray each other in the mystery that slowly gets uncovered over the eight episodes.

The eight-part series blends psychological tension with political intrigue, making it a compelling watch for fans of twist-heavy dramas.

Fans who did catch it early on Apple TV in 2022- were quick to call it “underrated” and “intelligent television”.
One five-star review on Google reads: "Brilliant series.

Yes, it's complicated at times, but that's the point — it's meant to be. It's a nice change not to be spoon-fed the plot but actually have to use your brain."

Another viewer posted: "An incredibly addicting series in a genre that often disappoints. The character development keeps you guessing. It’s a classic ‘whodunit’ with no filler."

"It's a classic 'who done it?'! Each episode builds on the tension that is built from the last without fluff!

I would recommend it to anyone who is very into the genre and is looking for something to be breezy fun!"

Although for all its praise some viewers weren't as pleased, with some reviewers believing the show is too long-winded and full of slow exposition offering something more of a slow burn.

A reviewer who thought less of the show, giving it two stars, posted: "The show keeps you entertained and intrigued enough to keep you watching even though so much of the scenarios will have you rolling your eyes in disbelief as you jump from one episode to the next.

So Martin Copeland is involved. He knows Sean tilson.

But also Eddie said that tilson knew the other 4 already. But how? Natalie - he was the secret contact about moving money but I missed how’s he connected to the rest.

And! What’s Natalie hiding??

Blondeshavemorefun · 03/08/2025 15:31

I haven’t a clue but obv whatever he was going to say was going to blow the world and why Natalie killed him

where did she get the gun from?

so she’s the dodgy one who kidnapped Leo on her wedding day - what a better alibi then that eh to ruin one’s wedding

wonder if she even loves her hubby to be

I have so many questions!

Did Katherine realise?

I still don’t get aardesh’s involvement.

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/08/2025 22:00

I’ve just seen e8 as been away and couldn’t watch it there

just found on planner - had forgotten hadnt seen the end

im totally confused

so Catherine lied about Eric and his daughter who was the tara the teacher along side with Leo faked his kidnapping

Leo to out his mum for lies
tara to clear her dad Eric’s name

sean Gets his million from Catherine for finding her son

Eddie shot but survived his first undercover

Natalie gets cuffed for killing Martin I assume

so what happens to tara and addesh - as one of them is very guilty

im
not sure about aadesh involvement.

They both got away with it?

Pinkfluffypencilcase · 22/08/2025 23:46

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/08/2025 23:35

I did enjoy and kept me guessing

just I’m not sure of the ending

and who the other masks were kidnapping

one was tara

The other kidnappers were Leo’s friends. That turned up at the Times Square building.

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/08/2025 19:58

Ah thanks @Pinkfluffypencilcase

aadeshwas innocent yet stayed with tara who was guilty and set this up and ruined their /his lives - yet he seemed happy to be with her

OP posts:
Pinkfluffypencilcase · 23/08/2025 20:55

So the police picked aadesh up simply because he had a legitimate meeting with Catherine’s company?

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/08/2025 20:59

I think so
