I can’t believe the hypocrisy of Opelka playing doubles.

Just watched a bit of Mensik-Marozsan. Jakub has won a fairly tight first set and I think will win the match. Shame, since this seems to be Fabian’s favourite tournament.

Jelena's outfit is very restrained. If anyone saw it, it reminds me of what Venus Williams was wearing at the Met Gala (which was essentially a green tennis skirt).

My dds are a bit obsessed so I always get a run down on what their current favourite whoever was wearing. I think Venus and Serena were both there, but I don't think (off the top of my head) any active tennis players were. Naomi has been before, but the timing is not great since it's right in the middle of tournaments most active players would be involved with.

I did wonder if Jasmine would get herself an invite- she's a big fan of Anna Wintour.

Chessie I agree , I would like Jasmine to win this . I think Jelena is out of the doubles too, though, otherwise she would have that to fall back on.

I think Jelena's a threat for RG though. Iga is not herself, so Jelena stands as good a chance as anyone of winning it again.

Carrots in abundance but no foxes

Nope, to paraphrase 'Mean Girls' - Jannik needs to stop trying to make 'Fox' happen.

I suppose the good thing about carrots and foxes, is that they are a similar colour.

So, they could stick ears and a tail on the carrots can call them foxes. Or not.

We have chocolate & cherry Magnums in the freezer - may need to go foraging!
