I do feel for Iga, so much is expected of her, when she's playing well - it's all bagels- when it goes wrong, it really seems to go wrong. And it's unfortunate if she loses to someone like Danielle (who has an attitude, and I'm not a fan).

I really don’t know what’s going on with Iga - I think the ban has really affected her - I think she is a very sensitive person and maybe struggles with being in the spotlight - she was one of the few people who enjoyed the blackout in Madrid - maybe she needs some new Lego?

I’m also not a Danielle Collins fan - there’s a bit of a mean girls vibe about her I think

Jannik seems better able to compartmentalise things - he managed to win a few Grand Slams when the should drugs thing was going on but it will be interesting to see how the ban has affected him

Local lad Gigante is playing today but not sure if he’ll have much chance against Mensik

Jesper Jong is a Dutch player who I have only 'seen' play a couple of times I think.

That drop shot has had about a 50/50 success rate for Sasha in this match.

I have the idea that Sasha thinks he will just play a couple of rounds in each tournament to make enough to keep him ticking over and that if he really wanted to he could get much further.

I think you are right, Jane. when he's playing well, he can beat pretty much anyone- if he wants to . Joke is on everyone else- he's making enough money to survive and seems happy enough doing it.
