I've just managed to switch on, Jasmine wearing what appears to be a navy version of the dentist dress/tabard/toga .It's not growing on me as a look at all, but if it's going to fit in anywhere, I suppose Rome is as good a place as any.

Fonseca looked like he was on the way out, but made it to a tie break in the second set agsinst Marozsan. Fabian has the mini break and looks like the match could be his now though.

There's been a lot of wandering around from the spectators - it's annoying Naomi . Apparently there are a lot of children there today, but it's not them causing the disruption. Just pick a bloody seat! The Cobolli /Nardi match is packed, not surprisingly.

DH has just told me off for watching the tennis when they’ve just announced a new Pope - I’ve told him the tennis is from Rome!

I’ve now switched over - it is fascinating (I’ve seen Conclave!)

Yes, he's an American pope. Though a bit like all the 'British' tennis players, who have actually spent most of their lives anywhere but the UK, he seems to have spent much of his life elsewhere .

Jacob is doing well- or maybe Foggy isn't doing so well. It's hard to tell really.

The white bits on Foggy's shoulders look a bit like wings.
