So, GI John drinks out of the crap storyline welly of doom, not a drip dribbles down his chin, he tips it right back over his face, blinks dramatically and shakes his head a few times and not a single splash is on his face! He’d be covered in it! And then he’s stone cold sober. I mean really?
And could someone please tell me what’s the story with the ‘actor’ (let’s go with that) who’s playing the non Barton? What’s he done to piss people off before he’d even been on screen please?

Not Barton is hard to understand. He said something that sounded like it was about nazis. I rewound twice before I gave up. Haven’t a clue what he was on about.

@JaneJeffer I love Mackenzie Vs John Boy too. Mackenzie is one of the best characters so I hope John doesn't do anything to hurt him.

When Not Barton was in Celebrity Big Brother he talked at length about being autistic and not good with social situations and social media so I think a lot of his reaction to fan responses may have been misinterpreted as him being entitled and rude whereas he might just be awkward.

I was surprised that I didn't automatically dislike Not Barton last night. He wasn't as annoying as some of the newcomers we've had in the past. Him and Ross were weird together because they are so different but Ross saying Lewis and Fin would have had a lot in common was a nice touch as out of the three Barton brothers, Not Barton is most like Fin. I think if he stays he might be a grower of a character.

I’m surprised Emmerdale didn’t advise Not Barton that he’s better off not responding to comments on the Emmerdale page. It’s not the done thing.

My son is autistic and I recognised some characteristics and I agree that he’s been taken completely out of context. Difficult for the actor, especially in such a long standing soap. I feel quite glad they have cast an ND person. I also quite liked the character!
