It all felt a bit predictable tonight. Lauren behaving like the Princess she thinks she is - but clearly isn’t. Jacqui gabbling stupid shit about her and Ryan’s sex life. Adrian able to spot dodgy behaviour in everyone else because he’s the world’s biggest expert. Clint being a doormat. Blokes doing pushups and women cackling. I ended up doing my Pilates workout on the living room floor because I was nearly as bored as Lauren!

Ryan said he was bullied a lot when he was younger and I can understand why he doesn't want to be ridiculed. He's petrified of anything that may make a mockery of him (not wanting the drop to be included in the edit etc) when he's worked so hard to improve himself. I think most of us could laugh it off but he can't which Is sort of understandable.

I suspect Ryan might be gay. It was the scene in the underwear shop for me.

Yes, it's basically a hick, according to my aussie ex. But I think it's expanded to mean chav these days.

Lauren has managed to use it as a noun, a verb, and an adjective. Not bad going. Who knew its grammatical usage could be so varied. I'm tempted to message the ex as we're still mates and ask him if anyone ever says boganic....

I think Bogan means classless, uncultured, vulgar... So could apply to both hicks and chavs!

It's like how Big Brother began and felt experimental (if only as a televisual social experiment). Or even maybe the Hunger Games story, MAFS is like some kind of dystopian world where literally nothing is at it seems, even the 'dinner parties' are held in some kind of industrial warehouse. They just up the ante all the time.
I kind of feel a need to shower and repeat positive affirmations after each worsening episode 😱.
Plus, thanks to FB, I know how things have panned out for most of them.

I wondered if Lauren was a plant, too. She's too Stepford, modeled on a combination of Jackie O meets Bree Van de Kamp. The sister at her wedding to Elliot was pantomime awful too. It just wasn't believable. Elliot is growing on me.

She could be a plant but so could Veronica. The fact that Lauren went back in after knowing about the Bogan vibe she hates is just ridiculous. That on its own makes the whole show highly dubious.
