The most beautiful piece of television. James’s parents when they get upset when he gets rejected. As the mum of an adult dd with asd it gives me so much hope.

Dani and Adan discussing taking their relationship to the next level was so funny, safety first obviously. Adan’s dad was so supportive when he was getting ready.

I think Georgie is such a sweetheart. She’s so gentle and grounding to Conner, talking him down when he starts to spiral in the same way his family do. It’s quite special ❤️

I keep wishing someone would take dani aside and tell her that that's not how to kiss xD the tongue darting lol! 🫣

I just came across this on Netflix and have watched all 3 seasons in a week! I googled to see what Mumsnet thought.

I'm not sure I like the feel of the show. I really enjoyed watching it but, at the same time, I felt like I shouldn't be watching it. I'm not convinced all the cast had capacity for informed consent (in the second Season, Connor specifically said that he didn't want people watching him on a date and wasn't comfortable with the cameras and was basically told not to be silly). But he's absolutely right, there were some very intimate moments and conversations portrayed on the show that should have been private unless all concerned were fully aware and completely happy with the filming and international audience.

I also feel like there was some manipulation in the direction of the show. I think James was set up as the 'face palm' character who would always fail. The other cast members were set up on dates with people who had a similar level of disability to them and sent on speed dating for people with autism. Whereas James was set up with neurotypical (or at least neurotypical passing) women and send on 'regular' speed dating. He had to sort out his own suitable match.

So, I don't know. A lot of it was lovely to watch and I loved the cast members but I don't know how ethical I think it is really.

@miniaturepixieonacidi always take on board when people see negatives in this show. Overall though I think it shows the positive side of autism and that autistic people want connection and intimacy and that they can find that with the right people. I also think they are very much allowed to be themselves with their special interests and personalities. Overall I think it is positive and particularly seeing how the families handle things.

I have binged watched all the series. I think it is adorable and it has had me in tears several times. Connor is wonderful, the conversations with his family, in particular his brother have been so funny, when they are talking about level 15 is brilliant.

2 out of 3 of my teens have autism. My middle one said yesterday that she loves the programme as feels that if everyone was like them then people would just be happier overall in life.

The program is a breath of fresh air, they are so honest about their feelings, no games.

My favourite couple is Madison and Tyler, they had such a great connection since they met, like love at first sight, so perfect for each other. It's so lovely to watch. I hope they marry and have their forever ending love story.

I love Tanner as well, he's so enthusiastic and charming. Such a shame he hasn't found love.

I absolutely loved season 3.

Madison and Tyler constantly snogging in front of her parents killed me off!

Georgie calming Connor was just the sweetest.

I don't think Tanner actually does want or is ready for a relationship yet, as much as I love him. Callie was perfect for him!

Pari is sweet and it's nice to see that James found someone.

And they're all still together :)
