Moaner is far from delightful 😁 I think she speaks to Tony like she wishes she'd spoken to her horrible ex.
I don't think it is a new thing, I'd assume she's always been brash and aggressive. Maybe the marriage was toxic from his POV too.
She is self-centered she wouldn't be the type to admit that she has had a part in an argument.

Yes, the more I see of Morena, the more I think it wasn't her husband who was the problem. She is actually pretty horrible.

I agree! 'Delightfully batshit' probably wasn't a good way for me to describe Morena. Made her sound likeable! 😆

Should have been 'horrifically batshit!' 😂

I might be quite wide of the mark here but I'm a bit uncomfortable with ridiculing or disliking Jacqui as I'm getting the impression that she may not be neurotypical. The same with Ryan too actually.

It's such a shame that this is who Morena's turned out to be, after how well suited they seemed to be at their wedding, I thought she seemed lovely then and would have put money on her and Tony working out. But it's really hard to watch how she's been treating him. I'm still not fully caught up, but I just hope he isn't taking it all lying down.

Hmm, now you come to mention it...

EdithBond · 23/03/2025 01:03

Morena seems like someone who’s come out fighting and now needs to chill a little more. But I don’t think Tony’s very well suited to her. He seems too laid back and avoidant. IMHO Morena needs someone who’s a bigger character, more forthright, makes her feel secure and can match her energy.

Voldemortifying · 23/03/2025 01:11

I think Tony is lovely. I feel really sorry for him being put with Morena. I do wonder about her relationship history.

💯 agree, her emotional regulation, her reaction, the faces she pulls.
I'm fascinated that she has achieved so much, very focused.
I thought this from the start.
Ryan? Maybe, he might have stunted emotional development with his bullying experience., he certainly doesn't have much experience with women.

Cakeandcheeseforever · 23/03/2025 06:58

Jacqui mentions she mainly reads non-fiction, having a preference for that can be associated with neurodiversity.

Outofthepan · 23/03/2025 07:29

I thought we were stopping blaming ND for people’s poor character traits or how they come across?

This has been mentioned by a few of us . But you would think the show would look into candidates and their mental health or ND.

I think Ryan is far, far worse than Jacqui. She's trying too hard and comes across as cringey when trying to excuse Ryan's awful behaviour and remarks. Its awful to watch. I know she's annoying, but I really feel for her now.

I agree. I don't think Jacqui is malicious at all. I find it really hard to watch when she's with the other girls and they're glancing at each other and she has no idea how to behave around them. It's really sad to see.

Pinkfluffypencilcase · 23/03/2025 09:03

It is actually. I agree.

I don't think she has poor character traits. I don't even think she comes across badly. I think she comes across differently to the 'average' Mafs participant and may be struggling with a process clearly designed by neurotypical people with other neurotypical people in mind.

Disagree entirely. And like a previous poster said, ND is not an excuse for everything. Personally I don’t think she is anyway. Ryan maybe but he is still a total arsehole and I have no problem whatsoever calling him that. Same goes for Adrian as well.

EverybodyLovesString · 23/03/2025 10:39

Jacqui has said on Instagram that she’s not neurodiverse.

This. ^ I am a little tired of seeing this on MN, and have to say I never see/hear anyone in real life doing this. Blaming poor/bad/aggressive/rude/unhinged behaviour on neurodiversity. I only see it on MN.

Like others on here have said, sometimes someone is just a dick. It's like if a poster posts a thread saying her man is an absolute arsehole to her - grumpy, tight-fisted, angry all the time, moody etc; within 5- 10 posts, someone says 'could he be depressed OP?' Ummm, or could it be that he is just a self centred miserable fucker whose life isn't going the way he wants, and he is just taking it out on his wife, and treating her like shit because he knows she will take it/won't leave, because they have children together/lots of financial ties together.

As for crying 'neurodiversity,' we need to stop excusing bad/poor behaviour, by saying that person is probably neurodiverse. More than anything, it's an insult to actual neurodiverse people!

Also do not like Jacqui OR Ryan. They are toxic together, and are both not coming across as nice people. She keeps bossing him about and telling him what to do and wants things all her way. He has the maturity levels of 12 year old boy, and is pathetic. I would have walked ages ago if I was either one of them. They must be desperate for the TV fame!

its ok to dislike someone even if they are ND. Which Jacqui has said she isn’t anyway according to a pp.

Like pp, i find it wild that people are so quick to declare other people as neurodiverse just because of their bad behaviour.

Cakeandcheeseforever · 23/03/2025 11:06

EverybodyLovesString · 23/03/2025 10:39

Jacqui has said on Instagram that she’s not neurodiverse.

@EverybodyLovesString it looks like she then went on to say ‘Maybe I’m
autistic but undiagnosed, I don’t know’. www.pedestrian.tv/entertainment/mafs-jacqui-instagram-stories/

This is what Jacquie said on TikTok:

"Can we please stop with trying to diagnose someone that we do not know with an actual medical diagnosis? I feel like everyone out there trying to say that I've got autism or something along those lines, you've got to remember that this show is highly edited. Like my reactions may very well be from people's real behaviour. Like I could have just been yelled at and told them to stop and then they've cut out the yelling and then you've just got me yelling out stop out of nowhere so I don't think it's an accurate way to try and diagnose someone and I think it's just highly inappropriate. You're allowed to call out behaviour so feel free to be like whoa Jacquie just yelled out of nowhere. That's fine. Do that. Like, that's fair. But what's not fair is trying to medically diagnose people with actual disorders."

Cakeandcheeseforever · 23/03/2025 12:03

Whether Jacqui is neurodiverse or not, I don’t think she’s done anything that bad. She’s a bit bossy and arrogant, definitely annoying at times to be around by the looks of it, but she’s not making inappropriate comments about other contestants or playing footsie with other people’s husbands under the table from what we’ve seen yet.

rc22 · 23/03/2025 12:57

I didn't declare or diagnose Jacqui as neurodiverse. I just said she was giving me the impression that it was a possibility.

EXCUSE ME but! Trailer for this week in between Sunday Brunch C4 ...

Ixpert voiceover - MAFS is ring matching an original couple and giving them both a second chance. This is unprecedented.

And there, back again, is Lauren (Trad Wife) in wedding gown. And Eliot (Knob) walking out of the sea. To new Groom and new Bride.

I hope Lauren's sister is back in the mix!!!

Cakeandcheeseforever · 23/03/2025 13:44

@BippidyBoppety oooh this will be fun. What new ridiculous non-negotiable thing will Eliot hold against his next bride?
