I remember a question on who wants to be a millionaire where one of the questions was ‘Which Cathedral is on the back of the £10 note?’

knowing JA is on the front it had to be Winchester - was quite pleased to have got the right answer!

Firstly you need two, preferably three, specialist subjects. Secondly they won't let you do what you want to do (mine was John Lennon) if someone has done it recently, and thirdly they can be very prescriptive about what you can and can't do.

I was shortlisted a couple of years ago, but got fed up with it all and baled out.

I think it’s because there are only six (main) works and her life is well documented. So the revision seems doable and everyone punts for it. But from the point of view of the producers, they are looking for new/interesting subjects. It’s an entertainment show after all.
