Eastenders writing is shockingly bad at the moment.
Linda just sitting there with Phil when her pub has just exploded - the pub where her kids and mother live. EVERYONE survives the blast?....not very likely. People being quite calm and nonchalant. Denise not the least bit distressed and more interested in flirting. Stacey and Martin not leaving a building on the verge of collapse and instead choosing to have a chat about their relationship. Dumb dumb dumb. It feels like the writers are forcing situations to lead up to a big pre planned episode, the stories have no natural arcs. You only have to watch the classic episodes to see how far it has fallen.

I think Kellie, Steve, Paul and Anita blew the rest out the park so to speak. The scene when Nigel finally told Phil he had dementia was so well done. T

@tillymintt Linda didn't need to go back to the pub, she was told all her family were okay. Her priority at that moment was Phil and making sure he was okay. He did the same for her not so long ago.

We haven't seen Linda with her younger children at all, not once. I find it odd, but it must be hard with little ones and the acting schedules and I suppose you have to fill in the gaps yourself.
It does grate , but she did well with Phil last night and her and Nigel saved his life. It was nice. I hope he gets some help

It was the first live when Bradley died. He stumbled over the lines, but it wasn’t really that noticeable. Nothing like ‘how’s Adam’.

I think he also forgot his line and Max had to say ‘Jack, didn’t you say you saw xyz?’ Or something similar. It must be very nerve wracking and they probably have a lot less rehearsal time than stage plays! (With a much bigger audience)

Even DP, who despises EE and normally leaves the room when it's on has expressed an interest in watching tonight. I think he's just there for the fuck ups, and I'll have to brief him fully beforehand....

None of last night's episode was live.

Tonight's one is meant to be, but in the past they have had live segments amongst pre recorded bits , so not sure what will happen or if it's all live.
