We usually watch something funny last thing at night . We've watched modern family , family guy and ghosts and tried shirts creek but need something new , any ideas?

If you want a left field suggestion try Seaside Hotel on 4 (streaming channel thingy). Downton Abbey with silly humour, just enough of a plot line, Danish (sub titles), all set on the beach. Gentle humour and flying under the radar.

The Detectorists I don't think has been mentioned yet?

Anything with Daisy Haggard - Breeders, Back to Life, and there was another one I can't remember the name of recently which was great .

Similarly Diane Morgan but include Philomena Cunk.

We are also big fans of Would I lie to you. Plenty of back catalogue to watch.

The middle is on itv player. Good family comedy

I enjoy Big Bang Theory/ Young Sheldon in same just before bed slot (currently on Schitts Creek, have also watched Friday night dinner) Grace and Frankie also worked.

Detectorists is perfect for a gentle, humorous watch before bedtime. I've watched so often, I can recite the dialogue but I never tire of it.
