Morning all.

Overnight scores not totally surprising- I was score watching Iga when she raced to 1 set ahead, but in the second set they seemedto be stuck on 2 games all for a while before Iga took off again.

Good win for Madison Keys- Elina can go and enjoy some time off wit Gael now, I thought she was going to win fairly comfortably, but it went to 3.

Just watching Lorenzo and Ben. This will probably go Ben's way (he's up 2 sets) but the second set was close. Lorenzo is not giving up though, and could steal this 3rd set. And he has.

This could end up being a very long match, if Ben drops his level after that and it goes to 2 sets all. The second set alone took over 70 mnutes.

Jannik and ADM may be a bit delayed.

I would not want to be sitting in the side of court in the blazing sun. I went to Wembley once,and we were at the end constantly had bright sunlight all through the match. Couldn't see the pitch. (To be fair, I wasn't that fussed about the football, I had gone for the trip out , women's FA cup final, dd1 was a mascot, and the tickets were free ).

Still, it gave me a headache.

Lorenzo has worked hard to get this match nearly level- but at 5-5 in the 4th, it's getting a bit nervy. His serve has gone wayward.

I really need to go out for a bit- bit I want to see the outcome of this set.

Ben nearly went head first into the hoardings at the side.
Some amazing shots from both of them in this tie break, but Ben has a break, and could take the match now.

Well done Ben! Disappointed that Elina lost, although I think Madison will be a bigger challenge for Iga.

Saw some comments from Carlos’ press conference, where he basically said he felt Novak was faking/exaggerating his injury. Yes Carlos, he’s been doing it basically your whole life.

Ice well said Carlos- although yes, Djok's been doing it years.
I was reading an article about his 'tactical' medical timeouts. Even Mac was questioning it- and he's always been a Djok cheerleader (and made endless excuses for him during the Covid fiasco).

I’m only score watching but not looking good for Alex. Not really surprised though as I wouldn’t expect him to beat Jannik. Are the Carota Boys there? I haven’t been able to watch any of Jannik’s matches yet to see if they’re there!

The match really demonstrated the difference between being no 8 and no 1 in the world. De Minaur is a good player but Sinner is in another league.
There were a few tickets available for tonight s match at $350. DD and I had a mad thought of going but it is a lot of money and we are both tired.

After the first set, I decided to go out.

I didn't really expect the match to end up anyway other than it did.

I haven't seen the Carota boys , I don't think- but have seen a couple of people dressed as carrots.
