I think Sascha and Stef will end up being the players who were meant to win slams in their 'gen' - who were leap frogged by Carlos and his mates.

I suppose, given the time the length of some of the men's finals , they couldn't risk it starting at midnight.

They could have done the same for the men's doubles. No reason their match couldn't have been played earlier in the day.
