I like Katie price, as crazy as her personal life is, she's been a mum who's tried her best

She's done this IVF documentary, on channel 4 tonight, with a man who is now her ex, I think?

I think I'll watch, then love island on catch up rather than plus one

I'm about the same age, and remember thinking that was a lot for her to deal with on her own.

No. She's vile. I avoid anything to do with her.

That Katie is believed to be a good mother to Harvey is one of the mysteries of our age. She has been an appalling mother to him.
As a small child, she palmed him off on anyone passing to babysit him so he had no consistent boundaries or the calm care that someone with his profound disabilities needed. His life with her (when she was there) was chaotic and loud, the last things he needed.
She now uses him for SM content and parades him online half naked, laughing when he swears on film and rewarding him with unhealthy food when he's dangerously obese.
Of COURSE you can't google about the younger two's removal from her care (and she only had in the first place because she effectively kidnapped them from their father's custody by refusing to return them from an access visit and then continually reported him to the police on spurious unfounded accusations). But as someone else has said, if you know where to look, the facts from the court cases are there to read.
I will say this: the bar for removing children from a parent is very very high.
And to those who say she needs help and support, maybe yes. But she refuses to take advice or do anything she doesn't want to do so I would suggest that it's very hard to help her.

I am really shocked that C4 thought that this is a good idea to help her bring a baby into the instability and difficulties she has

• She is not currently the resident parent for any of her 5 kids - Harvey has lived in a residential college for learning disability for 3-4 years although she has supervised visitation, Junior and Princess live with Peter Andre although now they are older they stay over the odd night. Jett and Bunny were removed from her care and, last I heard, live with paternal relatives but Katie gets a few hours supervised visitation.
• unstable relationships since she split up with Peter Andre there has been - Danny Cipriani, Alex Reid, Leandro Penna, Kieran Hayler, Kris Boyson, Charles Drury, Carl Woods and now JJ Slater. So hardly a stable relationship history yet she involved all of them in her children's lives
• A history of drinking and drugs . overturned her car in 2021 under the influence of drink and drugs . went to the priory to avoid jail.
• Katie has said herself that she has very fragile mental health and at her bankruptcy court case a few months ago she brought a carer/appropriate adult with her which sounds like her competency might be an issue,
• Financial instability - eviction from the mucky mansion and 2 current bankruptcies in progress
• Addiction to cosmetic surgery and procedures

It just seems that C4 were really irresponsible collaborating with a person who has a huge range of problems and seems to struggle to take care of herself - would the baby have been taken into care?

Well, the Telegraph reviewer is saying that everyone involved with this programme should feel "grubby" and the Guardian says it's "depthless, thoughtless and downright offensive."
Bang on.

God, no. I'm not averse to the odd bit of trash TV, but this would be a step much too far.

I've always felt a bit bad for Katie. I know she's done a lot of terrible things to children and animals, but it's also clear that she really isn't mentally well.

She started glamour modeling at 18, hit it big right away, and then had the world at her feet. A lot of media men made a lot of money out of her. It's a shame that she didn't have someone telling her to save and invest.

It's also a shame that she's never met the right man for her. Every bloke she gets with is worst than the last. If she had settled with someone suitable, her story would have turned out quite differently, I think.

Also, and I'm not using this as an excuse, I think she has autism.

It's the modern day equivalent of taking a tour of Bedlam. "Grubby" is right.

Look after the children you have, 45 edit: 46 is far too old , surely, to be trying to get pregnant - she'll be a pensioner by the time it's 18.

IMHO you would do better to watch the film 'Joy' on Netflix.

A lot of women volunteered to try various procedures knowing they would probably never have a child but hoping someday another woman would.

I wasn’t offered a GA for collection or implantation. The first time was incredibly painful as the local anaesthetic didn’t take effect until half way through the procedure.

I think the hunger for fame makes her do this. It’s her kids I feel sorry for. They must he so embarrassed by her actions

And still no one can tell me how they know the children have been removed from her care.

What makes you think she’s autistic?

Speaking as an autistic/ADHD woman myself, I don’t see any signs of autism. In fact I’d go as far as to say the opposite; her behaviours contradict what you’d expect to see in an autistic woman.

Possibly ADHD but with her history, it’s impossible to unpick what COULD be neurodivergence and what’s caused by everything else. Plenty of personality types/disorders that mimic ADHD, especially in women.

And if she does have ADHD, it’s still no excuse for her behaviour.

She’s been a terrible mum to all her kids, including Harvey. People set the bar so low for a disabled child. I have no doubt she loved them all but she exploited each child, particularly Harvey, for her own gains and to get publicity. No wonder Harvey went into residential care at a relatively young age - she never created the calm, stable home environment that a child like Harvey needs. She’s shipped him off to anyone that would look after him while she fucked off around the world on exotic holidays and partying. All of her children deserved so much better.

Wild horses wouldn’t drag me to watch this show and shame on those who made it knowing her background.

Nobody can stop anyone from getting pregnant. Given her older children's circumstances if she did get pregnant there would likely be a social work intervention but not before she got pregnant. Thankfully she's not going to get pregnant anyway.

I'm not saying she caused his condition but there are many reports that she drank and used drugs while pregnant, and septo optic dysplasia is linked to cocaine use during pregnancy. She also lies about his diagnosis, blaming his obesity on prada willi syndrome that he doesn't have, rather than parenting where she sedates him with food to manage his behaviour. A good mum? Ok.

It won't be, it's an ongoing case in the family court. Disclaimer - I know this through reading tattle, not through any work related inside knowledge.

You really think teenagers don't gravitate towards their mums even when they have been removed from their care after neglect and abuse? Of course they do. The fact that her teenage kids spend time with her doesn't mean she's not a neglectful parent.

Tattle. It's all there. The court documents are apparently findable if you know where to look. Court orders are sometimes published anonymised and I personally haven't seen them but I know tattle users were directing people to them last year before they got told off since it's a live case.
