One thing I prefer about the UK version, that distinguishes it from the others, is that the contestants are all ordinary members of the public rather than celebrities. I just think it makes it more relatable, and I find my fellow non-famous folks much more interesting than celebs...

US, Oz and NZ versions all on BBC iPlayer 😊

ThePoshUns · 12/01/2025 18:33

Thank you @WinterCosiness

I’m going to finish season 1, then do season 2.

Though I don’t know when. It rather depends how ill I am and whether I take a day off 🤣😅🤒

dapsnotplimsolls · 12/01/2025 18:06

Aftershow - can be found on the iplayer.

and BBC2 straight after the main show.

I liked the first series of the US version

Alan Cumming was so annoying (like the most horrendous parody Scotsman) that I can’t remember anything else about that series at all!

I gave up on it quite quickly. I hated it .

dapsnotplimsolls · 12/01/2025 19:17

The first US series was ok once I got used to the weird mix of slebs and civilians. I tried the second but couldn't get into it. I'm preferring the Aussie one so far.

AndAllOurYesterdays · 12/01/2025 19:26

I like Alan Cumming generally, but he was awful in the Traitors. No idea what accent he was going for. Had to turn it off too

I think he was going for 'this is what Americans think Scottish people sound like' 😁

His outfits were something to behold, that's for sure!

By the way, I did enjoy the spectacularly daft bird call challenge in the last US series.

And what’s this ‘uncloaked’? Where do I find that? Sounds like I need it!

It's on BBC 2 at 10pm after each show. You need to access the podcast for the second part of it.

APushbikeNamedReluctance · 12/01/2025 20:14

I've just tried the first episide of Traitors US (Series 3).

All I will say is, the contestants are a smidge more gregarious.

I like watching normal people too. I always think programs are spoiled when they bring in the celebrities (Big Brother, Gladiators...). Normal folk are less polished and more likely to be wonderfully weird.

I agree. Some of the celebrities on the US one had already been on other reality shows so they knew how to come across a certain way and how to play the game.

witchycat2 · 12/01/2025 20:20

It will be interesting to see how the celebrity version of The Traitors plays out

I hope it's not all reality muppets.

The rumours swirl that they have some big names going in. A lot of celebs love the show so wanted to go on. Rumours are people like Stephen Fry, Richard Osmond, Alan Carr, Jennifer Saunders.

Can you imagine Stephen Fry and Richard Osman on Traitors.. would be brilliant, with their brains and observational skills, nothing would get past them surely!

myplace · 12/01/2025 20:38

Gosh. That would be awesome.

They'd get murdered first!
