I really don’t like her at all. I’m glad there is suspicion on her now

Ooh,so mine's not a lone voice?! I thought I was possibly the only person in the land who doesn't love her! 😂

On yesterday's Uncloaked Minah got zero praise. Everybody was going on about Linda's brilliance ( eh?) and Freddie's sweet face. Very unfair.

I really like Fozia, and don't see the same things you do. But, I think it's great we all have different opinions and feelings, and are free to express them on here. It's one of the MN topics where dissenting opinions are welcomed! I don't post on Mumsnet often, and am terrified of some of the boards. But, feel quite safe posting on here.
I'm in an extreme minority (possibly a lone voice) in not much liking Minah! Whilst also recognising she's a brilliant traitor.
Though I'm with the crowd in loving Kas.
Interesting how we all see different things in different people.
In reality they're probably all more multifaceted than the edit would have us believe! 😃

Agree with you! The edit is obviously going to highlight the worst of everyone! Agree re Kas. I loved Kas and wish he could have won. A genuine person with integrity.

Minah plays her part well but I don’t find her likeable. Kas the most likeable of them all. Linda likeable (too likeable to be a traitor). Alexander, Leon, Freddy and Frankie all likeable and people I would probably get on with in real life.

SharpOpalNewt · 11/01/2025 08:39

What's a boomer Z?

I was going to ask that too!

Jumanji89 · 11/01/2025 08:56

I think that The Traitors are going to murder one and recruit one of the remaining players. It could be a double murder if the person they decide to recruit rejects

burnoutbabe · 11/01/2025 08:57

The card game -it was posted up front how. A traitor could play and survive (ie if final 2, they win by default)

But unless they explain that to the traitors or to the 4 playing to repeat after they come back -will anyone work that out -if not the 3 left will be assumed faithful going forward.

I get the impression it's not so much Linda's brilliance, as her entertainment factor? I think it's fairly universally acknowledged that she's not a good traitor at all. But, she's funny and keeping the audience entertained. So she's popular.
Minah's brilliance as a traitor has been discussed loads on Uncloaked. I think it'd be hard to argue with how phenomenal she is as a traitor.
Because I have a natural faithful bias. I tend to love the good faithfuls and the bad traitors!

happinessischocolate · 11/01/2025 08:57

I don't like Minah either but she is an amazing traitor.

I really don't like Fozia and agree she sneers at people a lot

The only one I like and would be said to see go is Freddie, despite being upset, he has handled being picked on and nearly voted out really well.

Calmhappyandhealthy · 11/01/2025 09:01

Ilovethatbear · 11/01/2025 08:31

I don’t think Linda can survive much longer. Writing Fozias name with a Boomer Z will be picked up by someone, even if Fozia herself doesn’t survive.

Unless they remove or replace the painting?

I really hope Linda goes on Wednesday (15th). She does my head in. She thinks she's winning a BAFTA and in fact everyone is suss of her!

Absolutely agree

I also really like Alexander. His face when he got the "life" card ! So sweet

Lentilweaver · 11/01/2025 09:04

I expected Paul at least to applaud Minah's brilliant and natural crying. Being a master of the form himself!

I also adored the Oz S 1 winner. Won't say who it is. Master of the form too.

Romeiswheretheheartis · 11/01/2025 09:05

If Linda somehow manages to keep slipping through and gets to the final, I can't imagine her surviving the banishment round the fire thing at all - she'll completely give herself away at that point.

kindlyensure · 11/01/2025 09:06

oof, I really disliked last night's episode.

I know it's edited. I know a narrative is being constructed for us, but as far as possible, I don't want to see the strings.

Last year they did such a good job with the story. Perhaps they have less material to work with or the cast isn't as good, but the whole painting thing was so poorly done. It seemed pretty obvious they had filmed Minah and Linda after everyone had gone and then cut in people randomly wandering up and down corridors feeding them one-liners such as 'where's the bar' etc....It served to give absolutely no tension and make everyone seem complicit in a charade for the viewers. They even cut to an end-of-evening shot with Freddie and co sitting in the library as if they'd been there all night. Which they probably had.

Then, the writing on the painting was so scrappy. If you're going to have a peacock pen prop, at least stick a sharpie or a decent fineliner on the end rather than the half-inked biro lying at the bottom of your pencil case.

Then that stupid gloop game which didn't make sense. So Claudia says 'you don't have to tell anybody blah blah...' and then she dobs Lisa in it anway. Just because Lisa denyed choosing, so the producers can signpost to the thickos - ooooh Lisa does lying!

And finally - finally! That stupid card game. Playing a card game is tedious enough, so watching others play is beyond boring. It's like listening to other people's dreams. Or things people's cats do.

When Claudia said 'let's play DeathMatch' she might as well have said 'let's play NumberWang.' (tbh that would have been more entertaining.

Phew. rant over. (Ab. So. Lute. Lee).

I like Freddie too. He reminds me of Aaron in series 1. A similarly sweet-natured young man who also loves his mum 😊

GhostOrchid · 11/01/2025 09:07

I agree that Minah’s a great traitor but not especially likeable as a person.

I’d like to keep Fozia in the game a bit longer as she’s astute and observant but agree she doesn’t have the warmest personality.

I think Alexander and Frankie have just gravitated to each other as they’re both upper middle class. I don’t think there will be any more reveals about secret relationships.

All the fuss in the last episode about who marked who was so tedious. I didn’t really get why marked players were allowed to informally question a couple of people before naming someone (well, I guess it creates opportunities for lying, but no one is going to admit to it!). It just seemed like bad game design.

SharpOpalNewt · 11/01/2025 08:39

Baby Boomers - born 1946- 1964

So the poster notice Linda wrote a cursive Z (curly Z) rather than a zig- zag Z.

I think it will come out - I know if I was a Faithful I’d have assumed at least one of the other players was a Traitor from what Claudia said, so as long as Minah and Linda hear that I think Minah at least will take advantage of pointing the finger at one of the remaining three, probably Alexander or Fozia (if she survives)

Love these threads. I can indulge my guilty pleasure completely anonymously! I'm embarrassed how much thinking time I give The Traitors! 🤭

GhostOrchid · 11/01/2025 09:14

I write in cursive and am not a Boomer! (Gen X)

However, if I was on The Traitors I print in block capitals.

Me too. It gets under your skin.

But no more programmes until Wednesday. Waaaah! Stamps feet! (And of course, tears!)

Exactly this also! If the missions are going to be a bit spurious, and indeed over complicated, (Claudia seems to be explaining a lot of rules as they stand shivering in a circle this time around), then you lose faith in the overall game and structure. I know last year's rosé drinking/funeral procession was orchestrated and dramatic, but it had a satisfying narrative to it, clear parameters, and the story arc made sense.

Agree with all this. It was a poor episode. No tension at all in the traitors’ task. I too was expecting a gold sharpie or something at least.

Linda (while good value) is also just quite dumb. She’s not smart or strategic or quick witted. Not an original insight, I know. But I was kind of hoping she would get caught doing something suspicious.

Why have a dog and bark yourself.

Linda would still be hinting for the pen now without her though 😆
