Complete change of subject. Has anyone watched the "horrible histories" film "Bill" about William Shakespeare. In it, a character called Lope Lopez (played by Laurence Rickard) explains his plan J for murdering Queen Elizabeth the first. The film came out in 2015. I am 100% convinced that Vito has based his entire TV character on Lope Lopez. I cannot find a clip - but if anyone has seen the film, you will know which bit I mean.

I was out and about last night so watched it in bits and pieces and couldn't keep up with you lot. My key takeaways were:
Sarah's Showdance was a sad disappointment
Tasha and JB's Showdances were great
Chris's was as expected.
Bringing Paul and Nick on in cardboard form was sweet and funny, and allowed Karen and Luba to have their moment in the sunshine.
Craig's poem was one of the worst things I've ever seen on national television. Was he drunk? It's the sort of thing which goes down well at a small local WI Christmas party: even then it's a bit cringe, but fine in context. But for Craig? on the biggest TV show of the year? I'd have paid good money to see Claudia's face while he was reading it.

I thought the poem was touching and showed the huge amount of respect and admiration he clearly has for Chris. There are far worse things broadcast daily, IMO! 🤷‍♀️

An amazing achievement for Chris and Diana has been an incredible teacher really well deserved

loved JB’s dance and woudl have been happy if he had won

Yes, and there was the funny reference to the thumb! Craig clearly has enormous respect for Chris. Very touching hug at the end.

I thought Sarah's dances were a bit disappointing tbh.

Tash's dances were beautiful as expected from a trained dancer.

LOVED all of JB's and would have loved him to win if it had been a different final.

The right person won, a very we-deserved and emotional win.
