Strictly Quarter Finals: A Poll!

We're now down to six remaining contestants, which means they'll fit on a Mumsnet poll.

Last year you comfortably predicted Ellie's victory, so let's see if we can repeat it.

I want Tasha to win as she is the best dancer by far. However I have said from week 1 that Chris will win because people vote by popularity rather than by best dancer.

Surely if it goes by best dancer, they shouldn’t have asked a professional to appear which Tasha is. No point if anyone else learning if it’s the best dancer to win?

There's a reason for that - she's a 26 year old commercial dancer. She trained in street style.

Chris will win. Even though it's a dance competition, and not a triumph through adversity competition.

I can't bear Tasha and A. She's a trained dancer and I hate the way the judges are trying to. skew the marks in her favour. Even worse is the faux suprise from, the judges and both of them plus the silly whooping from A. She's obviously not popular and judges are getting through. She will never ever be voted off.

I completely agree, I have never liked Dianne that much, but she has shown how incredible she is this year.

I didn't want Chris to win at first. but a couple of weeks ago, during their dance I though how much he deserved it and how Dianne deserved it for what she has achieved with him. And at the end of that dance was when Anton said there should be a trophy for Dianne.

I do love Sarah, Tasha and Montell too, and a little bit Pete for really trying. But Chris is so deserving.

I really don't understand why Pete is still in, who is voting for him? I thought he'd be gone weeks ago, he's by far the worst dancer out of the lot.

All of the ones left are great this year.
I think Sarah is amazing and would love to see her win or Chris because he has achieved so much with the odds against him and he’s really inspiring, I love Pete, but it’s his personality that is winning, rather than his dancing.

There are obviously no T&Cs as to who we, the public, choose to vote for.

It’d be funny if there was: “YOU MUST ONLY VOTE FOR THE BEST DANCER, NOT WHO YOU FIND FUNNY/LIKEABLE OR FANCY”. So it’s down to who we think is most deserving on a purely subjective basis, depending on our own opinion of what this Shiny Show is all about.

For me, I prefer a sleb who’s a bit shaky at first but gets better - a few dips happen maybe, and I’ll even put up with a bit of DeadNanWarz. But they are funny and/or likeable, and seem to be trying their best.

So I’ll never vote for a ringer.

Chris, Pete or Montell for me. But mainly Chris, because as has been said many times - bloody hell man, you’re amazing.

As has been rumoured several times on the main thread, it's believed that Pete has people voting for him 100s of times in a block vote style and most of these are not Strictly fans and nor are they watching the show, they don't care that he's not the best, they are Pete Fans.

I'm really sceptical about this. It's possible of course, but they said it about Joe Sugg and Tony Adams and Tom Fletcher, and in every occasion the votes vanished away when they got to the sharp end, or maybe they were never that high anyway. (Pete only needed to finish fourth in the vote to be safe last week)

I think SCD viewers are voting for Pete because he's handsome, funny, appears refreshingly novel in his deadpan style and has a good partnership with Jowita. I don't think he'll win.

I agree with this. People on here were convinced that when Tony didn't go out in the first week or two that it was because Arsenal fans were voting for him; if that had been the case he would still be here, because there are a lot more Arsenal fans than Pete Wicks fans. They can't seem to accept that some people watching Strictly like different things to them. Plenty of people vote because they find someone entertaining/amusing/attractive or they admire them giving it a go, rather than because they think they are great at dancing.

I want Montell to win but I fear she will be out this week having seen the dances they’ve all been given. If Montell leaves then I’ll switch my votes to JB. I’m definitely expecting Chris to win and I’d be happy for him if he did.
