I get the distinct impression the commentary team are very biased towards Pegula, and I'm not entirely sure why. But then, I've never warmed to Pegula as a player. I'm sure she's perfectly nice, but I'm not really a fan.

Andrey is in an awkward position really. Alex has already pulled out of Belgrade and I imagine Casper probably won’t play Metz now, but his first match isn’t scheduled until tomorrow so he can pull out in good grace.

I thought Lorenzo was going to win this- but at least it looks like Andrey is still playing to win, which is good.

I'm expecting Casper to with draw from Metz,which will definitely not impress the organisers, I imagine. But maybe it will force the ATP to rethink the schedules, if things like this keep happening. It's the smaller tournaments that will suffer most.

It's as if all of the broadcasters have been brainwashed - toeing the party line - they kept saying that the atmosphere was amazing at the Six Kings slam thing but it wasn't

Apparently there was a good programme on R5 about the Women's Finals being held in Saudi Arabia - it's on BBC Sounds so I'm going to give it a listen - Catherine Whittaker was talking about it on Woman's Hour as well - the Tennis podcast are very against it

Does anyone know who will be showing the Davis cup finals? I feel as if I need to see Rafa's final tournament even if I need to pay extra for it - not sure if it will be on the Tennis Channel?

Fizzy I saw something saying it would be on the Tennis Channel, which seems to be yet another paid streaming service, not the same as the tennis channel on Sky, or Tennis TV? It’s all very confusing when you’re just a technical novice trying to watch Rafa’s final tournament.

I’m not in to the whole Saudi thing at all, it feels really uncomfortable that they are trying to buy tennis, especially when they don’t seem to be able to deliver any genuine atmosphere. I’m not sure if they’ve dropped their proposal to host a new Masters tournament at the beginning of the year. I know a lot of people in Australia and NZ were really upset about it because it would completely mess up the Australian swing, where even the smaller tournaments are well supported by local fans.
