@Tittat50 I often wonder if the Ixperts will face the same condemnation that JK had.

menopausalfart · 16/10/2024 17:46

I wonder if the show provides proper aftercare.

@Tittat50 I often wonder if the Ixperts will face the same condemnation that JK had.

It is tantamount to enabling emotional abuse in some cases. I wonder if they can spot who is possibly undiagnosed as Autistic or ADHD and are just playing along for the fame, money etc without regard for what could be seen as exploitation.

I really liked Paul and thought he was someone with admirable values but he's sailing close to the wind with this.

I have to confess that it's of course more enjoyable entertainment to watch scandalous behaviour and character assassinate participants. It's too late for me anyway; the Lord has told me I can just forget it after all this. 🔥

menopausalfart · 16/10/2024 18:08

Same. No one can save us now. Sin is too much fun.

kenyaswhiterefrigerator · 16/10/2024 18:21

I think at this point everyone involved (contestants and experts) knows what this programme is.

It's been in this format for some years now, plus Australia and so everyone knows what they are going into.

They all want TV exposure with the prospect of a career afterwards whether it is influencing/ presenting etc. If they find live it's a nice bonus

I just can't feel any sympathy at this point. The fact that they are all 'staying' is telling.

Orson and Hannah's eyes lit up when they realised they could be this year's cheating scandal. They know the score

menopausalfart · 16/10/2024 18:29

I think the show is very close to the precipice of what's considered acceptable. Hopefully, it won't devolve any further than it has.

dapsnotplimsolls · 16/10/2024 18:34

I think the Brad stuff last year was worse.

menopausalfart · 16/10/2024 18:35

That was horrible to watch.

Tittat50 · 16/10/2024 18:40

I forgot about Brad. You're right. He was another level of crazy and scary.

Floofydawg · 16/10/2024 19:16

Am on catch-up from last night and just came on to ponder whether Hannah lines her inner eyes with Tippex??

MouseMinge · 16/10/2024 19:32

Hannah does want children, she was just a bit taken aback by a man his age already having four of them and worried that he wouldn't want anymore. Although thinking about it, @Tittat50 you're talking about Alex not wanting kids or not wanting his partner to have kids, I'm sure he wants to create at least a little Alex or two, and Hannah (and Nathan) having ADHD.

purplespink · 16/10/2024 19:48

Does anyone else think that there's a huge double standard? I cannot believe for a second that the experts would pressure Emma or Polly into intimacy if they weren't feeling it, yet the pressure on Caspar and particularly Adam is crazy??

It was giving me Clockwork Orange vibes

Tittat50 · 16/10/2024 20:05

@purplespink yes, definitely double standards going on here

Grandmasswagbag · 16/10/2024 20:07

Ah I've found the main mafs thread! Just catching up from last night..Richelle strikes me as a bit of a psychopath tbh..I'm really struggling to see what Orson has done wrong. He seems like a really nice bloke Confused

What, apart from the cracking on to Tippex eyes? 😂

GrinGrin I'm enjoying watching Orson and Hannah have a little flirt..although my god it's so clearly scripted !

Picoloangel · 16/10/2024 20:44

I’m catching up on last nights episode .
WTAF is going ok with Richelle?! What am I not seeing? So what if Orson is into drama - you’re on a TV show Richelle. 🙄

No need to wonder.. I think we can safely say level zero!

purplespink · 16/10/2024 20:48

Also I think that the stick or twist thing is hypothetical, I don't think they'd let the cast pick their partners and swap about unless it's a cheating scandal.

I thought the current format required one cheating scandal and one DV incident, minimum.
If they don't happen naturally, they have to be aided.

Hypothetical is damaging enough to the ego unfortunately, and that's all the producers need!

TitsInAbsentia · 16/10/2024 20:53

Going back to Richelle calling Orson a c*** (I don't even want to type it) wonder if she thought that when she was using him for a shag?

Appalonia · 16/10/2024 21:01

Here comes the chaos!😂
