So sadly we lost Paul, the air has been chilly.
Bernie had a rave, and Summer is comforting Billy.
Todd is a dude, and David's quite a lark.
It'll be Christmas by the next thread, and really quite dark.

Cassie is a sly one, she's taking Ken in.
I wish the naughty scouser would get in the bin.
Gail and Audrey don't have much going on at the mo.
And Stu and Yasmeen are always on the go.

Poor Bethany was slim but she got liposuction.
The fallout from the procedure has caused quite a ruction.
She owes so many thousands, you just wouldn't believe.
The clinic have her passport so she simply can't leave.

Damon's creeped out of the woodwork for a minute.
It's none of his business but he's poked his nose in it.
Offering Sarah dodgy cash he's got hidden away.
Sarah may have to take it. It may be the only way.

The pub is fairly quiet, and not much going on there
Daisy, Jenny, and Glenda all have fab hair!
Daniel is fussing around Bethany all the time
And people blame him for Bethany, like he's committed a crime.

Fizz is very pregnant, but may not keep the baby.
Tyrone really wants to, and says 'can we, maybe?'
Hope and Ruby fancy a new sister or brother.
But we know who'll be looking after it, Yep, the mother!

Carla and Lisa are vibing quite nice.
You can see their reactions when they look in each others eyes.
Mason's trying to go straight, but is he for real?
Or will he go back to his old ways, and bully and steal?

Kit has been fairly quiet, and the quads have been too!
What's the point of the quads, what do they even do?
Can't think of much else going on right now.
And can't get this last bit to rhyme. Grin

Oh wonder who that was in the reflection.

JewelleryCat · 28/10/2024 20:25

Chesney mentioned benefits. So he’s on them?

bizzey · 28/10/2024 20:27

Red car ,, red herring methinks ,🤔🤔

bizzey · 28/10/2024 20:28

Does Ronnie have a red car ?

HurdyGurdy19 · 28/10/2024 20:39

David has a red car. A convertible of some kind or other. I noticed it when he was trying to return (?) the bag of stolen loot last night

bizzey · 28/10/2024 20:41

Ohh yes ....I knew I had seen a red car recently.

MoonWoman69 · 28/10/2024 20:10

Aye up, there's Swain in't pub again! Don't her superiors ever question where she is all the time?! Or aren't there any?!

Yes and so unprofessional as is Kit

Also Bernie, who can blame Dev for not wanting Ches as his right hand man anymore

BirthdayRainbow · 28/10/2024 20:57

I don't like the flashback programmes. They think they are clever but they aren't.

HurdyGurdy19 · 28/10/2024 20:58

So who has beaten Swain up?

eggandonion · 28/10/2024 21:00

I don't care anymore. I want the quads in a nativity play drama and David the dog to father puppies.

Roryno · 28/10/2024 21:09

Oh god, yet another person in the crowbar pass the parcel! Or was it her truncheon?

Shellingbynight · 28/10/2024 21:46

I don't care any more either.

So now we know why useless Swain is tolerated - the goodwill hangover from her dead wife Becky, who was a brilliant cop. Tonight was the Swain Show (again).

I liked Cassie and Steve’s scenes, Cassie could become a good character but inevitably she will be found to be conning Kenny.

Bernie Ches and Gemma - go away. What does Dev see in Bernie?

Allthehorsesintheworld · 28/10/2024 21:58

Corrie was on last night ( Sunday) ? No wonder I couldn’t make a lot of sense of tonight’s….. 🤦‍♀️

WiddlinDiddlin · 29/10/2024 03:14

Those last two episodes were really choppy and awful...

The whole Dev/Bernie/Ches thing - Devs shop would have been shut down anyway, one deep clean does not shift a cockroach infestation (though that health inspector needs binning, cockroaches don't come IN from outside if you leave the bloody door open a second!)... Kirks stupidity didn't help, but ultimately thats not what got the grease pit shut down.

Dev refusing to pay Ches for the clean up is ridiculous - I can see how he can't pay him for running the shop when its not actually open, but not paying for the clean up is just vindictive.

Jesse - didn't he seem more sinister and rather cocky when he informed Audreh and Sarah about the proposal and that they were going to go to hospital and be surprised and be happy etc?

I wonder if he thinks David buying the house means he can skank Gails money out of her...

Swain - wtf, who beat Swain up? This is clearly something that happened before the pub as it was in the Bistro later that she flinched away from the offer of a hug... unless she went to the pub, then back to work then to the Bistro... weird.

Still no fucking clue who offed Joel, who was in that reflection in the wing mirror or anything (was it Joel sat on the floor leaned up against the car).

Honestly, the Brassic plot for this last series has been more believable than Corrie lately.

Allthehorsesintheworld · 28/10/2024 21:58

Don't worry, I watched Sunday and Monday and none of it makes sense !

helgel · 29/10/2024 07:46

Ken in his new holiday gear was the only bright spot in a dire Corrie week.

Illjusthavethebreadsticks · 29/10/2024 08:02

Please can we bring this Joel storyline to a swift end it's beyond tedious.

As if Dev would date someone like Bernie, the scene with her and big gob Gemma staring at Dev after he admitted he had sacked chesney unbelievable, surely he would have run a mile by now.

Shellingbynight · 29/10/2024 08:06

The Platt scenes are choppy and hastily cobbled together. I have no idea what Jesse is supposed to be signalling and I suspect he doesn’t either. If Gail has a happy ending then presumably he’s a good guy.

The Joel plot is unforgivable. Choppy, nonsensical, constant flashbacks to fill in the bits they forgot to tell us. Corrie can no longer tell a coherent story. It’s sad.

And apparently Dev’s only purpose nowadays is to provide funding to the Winter Browns.

FeltCarrot · 29/10/2024 08:11

I agree with PP, the choppy scenes are supposed to be dramatic and tense, they just make me want to switch off,p.

Swains Peter Andre curtains get in my nerves too.

Thequeenofwishfulthinking · 29/10/2024 08:16

Chesney is a useless employee and seems to be unable to walk around these days without struggling for breath. He seems very top heavy..
I would axe Leanne, Gemma and family (apart from Bernie), Summer, Billy, Sam, the Bailey dad, Michael Bailey, Swain and anyone connected to Joel apart from Dee Dee.
I would also like Lily to get a new head and Sam if they don’t axe him.
Dont get me started on the Winter Browns and their ‘benefits.’
The programme is going downhill fast. The scenes relatable to the Corrie of old are few and far between.

Shellingbynight · 29/10/2024 08:32

I just realised that I completely forgot to axe Sean in my previous list. I had forgotten he exists because he rarely appears. He is another (like Ches) who was good back in the day but is now a huge annoyance. But first on the list is definitely Swain.

Lorrymum · 29/10/2024 08:42

I wonder if Carla is still trying to buy Gail's house. No idea why when she has that lovely flat with the high spec kitchen.
I think the actor who plays Chesney is joining Stars on Ice (or whatever it's called) so hopefully he will have a long run! Gemma and family just lurch from one miserable story to another.

eggandonion · 29/10/2024 08:44

There are so many people who we never see. Amy, Tracey, Brian, Glenda, Izzy, Harry, and assorted others. Gary pops up to look menacing, other people need to pop up to walk does the street or rush for a tram.
I see my neighbours from time to time doing every day things. People on Corrie only ever have massive drama.

Waterboatlass · 29/10/2024 10:45

In terms of axing, as someone who dips in very sporadically over the decades in times of dire need of comfort, I'd say Gemma is a terrible actor, no idea why quadruplets were brought in.

I don't want him axed in a negative way but I'd like so see Jack Shepherd in something else as he stands out. His acting is filmic, detailed and full of energy while everyone else just either shuffles around saying their lines or portrays high drama naturalistically- Carla, Jenny, Sally. It would be interesting to see David in something else. I've no idea whether he just knocks this one role out of the park like Michelle Keegan who seems to play variations of Tina, or whether he is genuinely versatile

David Nielsen is amazing

AmusedMaker · 29/10/2024 14:07

I know she’s popular on here but I don’t like the Bernie character. Wouldn’t be sad to see her go.
