Didn’t see the match but happy for Stan, solid victory again a pretty hot young player. Wonder if he can continue the trend against Flavio Cobolli? He could really use the ranking points, outside the top 200 at present.

Dan and Billy ‘arris both lost unfortunately.

It was a close match, but he did play well, especially against Mpetshi Pericard who has a massive serve (Stan actually served more aces).

Berrettini is also through- plays Holger next. That could go either way, really

I didn't see any today. It's getting hard to keep track of all these tournaments!

I see Zizou beat Zhizhen. Would have liked to hear the commentary on that one

Casper has lost the first set, This is not good. He really isn't having a great end to the year- he certainly taking over from Rafa on the indoor courts.

They have a lion mascot doing YMCA.

I'm not sure Casper will be feeling too amused by the lion. He's not having a good day at all.

Every tournament needs a mascot.

If Casper isn't careful, he may end up not qualifying for the ATP finals, It's all starting to feel very familiar.

I see they're reverting to the old style home and away ties for the Davis Cup next year. Shouldn't have been mucked about with by the money men in the first place! I think the Billie Jean Cup is doing something similar.

I’m never surprised by Casper losing these days. I think the court in Shanghai is quite fast so probably doesn’t really suit his game.

Boo, I was hoping to watch some tennis, but it seems it’s raining in Shanghai and only Djok’s match is being played.

I came home in time to see that the Fritz match was suspended.

Looks like Djok was pushed- but not hard enough. Maybe in the next match. (fingers crossed). Although he plays either Cobolli or Wawrinka. I'd love Stan to get further, but Djok is struggling against players he has not faced before- I think Flavio might cause him problems.

I am watching Tabilo and Tommy Paul- Tabilo had match points, and lost them, but if he's not careful. TP will level the second set to 5-5.
