I really liked Rob too. I thought he was calm and seemed emotionally intelligent. There was also an exchange between him and Liv after the recoupling and she was saying to him well why were you saying that to me and he said I never said that and she just looked at him and said something like don’t take me for an idiot and walked off. He’s clearly a manipulator. Even the chat that we saw him have with Andrea where he put the spider on her. At face value it comes across as him being charming and a bit eccentric and wacky. But if you think about it it’s actually very manipulative. Like he was testing her boundaries to see how easy he can break them.

Yep Hannah’s make-up is bordering on absurd. She wears far more than anyone else and it must look even odder in person.

I’ve started watching after also hearing that it was better than the UK Love Island. Initially, I thought it was livelier, bubblier and more positive in feel but the last couple of episodes have been so emotional and a bit draining! The level of intensity is way higher than the UK Love Island.

As for Rob, DH and I watch together and both also really liked Rob - we were actually saying that he’s our favourite ever LI contestant. And then he turned into a gaslighting sociopath before our eyes! We were watching his conversations with Leah and couldn’t work out how he managed to make his actions her fault! And the crying and then hiding were mental - all while saying it was all her fault. Followed by then asking her why she didn’t sleep in their bed and then forgiving her for the previous night - I was just like WTAF?!

Presumably the girls okayed all the arse-grabbing in the kissing challenge? Think Leah is going to lose some support in there putting JaNa through what she went through, particularly after the comfort she got from her!

I think the next episode must be uploaded overnight as yesterday’s episode was the recoupling episode and there is now another episode available today.

Watched yesterday’s episode and it’s funny how your opinion of someone completely changes how you interpret the things they say. I used to think Rob was whimsical and an old romantic but when he now talks I just want him to shut up 😂. I’m glad Leah didn’t tolerate his attempt to take the moral high ground when he finally asked to speak to her and told him exactly what she thought of him.

Same! now I just feel gaslit as a viewer!

Hannah looks a lot better without the make up I agree.

Leah always looks and sounds like she's about to cry. Even from day 1.

Omg! Just watching last night's episode. Hakeem is such an arse. In an argument with Liv he said to her something along the lines of 'I've told you things that you need to work on but you aren't' Paraphrasing that.

Then in a convo with Connor and JaNa, Hakeem said about Liv 'She got up inside her emotions and started kicking off.' Another paraphrase.

Then after the convo with Hakeem, JaNa was obvs feeling comfortable in her situation with Connor and was gushing about it. Only for him to drop the bomb that now Leah is free he's going to get to know her.

So much drama!

Agree about Hannah's make up. It makes her look like a pantomime dame with how extreme and harsh it is. What is in the inside corner of her eyes?

Just watched the recoupling and I like how there is so much switching up, they don't play it safe as much.

I also like how the girls don’t shy away from telling each other when they think they’ve behaved poorly. This never happens in the UK series and it’s really frustrating.

With the egg saga, why wouldn't you bring the eggs you've just cooked for him. She didn't want them to go cold. Very possessive behaviour!
Arron with all his little kiss pecks on his partners head,so sweet. Thought he might be a bit of wrong in at the start but he is great.
Rob is so handsome but a red flag.
The one partnered with the new brunette woman is my favourite, funny and thoughtful.
New man oozes sex appeal but has got to 27 without having a relationship so I'm not sure about him!

I shan't say much as am one episode ahead, other than to say you can all enhance the amusement by playing spot the bogie in one close up convo!

Even the challenges are savage, they really don't hold back from saying what they think about each other. I think Leah took advantage of it as well, letting the others tell Connor(?) How she feels.

I can’t figure out when it’s on. I’ve been watching on ITVX (truly dreadful app) but then I watched some via Sky on ITV Be, And the last episode I watched there on Thursday (I am sure) is only now coming up on ITVX as being yesterday (which would be Friday).

I’m so confused. Has there been an episode since the islanders voted a couple off (I’m hoping that does not count as a spoiler).

Ps I wouldn’t trust Rob as far as I could throw him. His crying and hiding in the pool was ridiculous. Hard to watch a grown man behave like that. I wasn’t keen on Ronnie in the UK version at first, but at least he was honest.

And Rob’s dungerees and cowboy boots!

Last night was the episode where they voted off two people,I watch it on normal TV at 10pm. Next episode is on Monday. Although I think I saw Moira in an ad saying there is an after sun, though no idea when.

God, Rob is ridiculous. I can't abide him!

Not gonna lie, the girls made a bad decision there. The boys are right, it’s not Friend Island. But Rob is a complete actor. Shouting and crying that he’s gonna leave but then not. And then making a big show of sleeping outside.

Aaron is a real sweetheart. I didn’t expect him to be like this.

Agree re Aaron, they are a genuine couple and will hopefully win!

Also can't believe that chat between Rob and Leah. They are all really playing the game. Looking forward to the new bombshells, JaNa is going to be all over that 'man'.

Just found this thread after finishing the series (watching via peacock) and watching the reunion. Its crazy how much things change! I felt similar about some of the couples at that point but a lot happens in the next few weeks.

Its an interesting season for sure.
