To those saying the British are being mean about this; I really wanted to enjoy it, I thought with the beauty of Paris and the cultural history of France it would be amazing, it was billed as being uniquely spectacular. But it is just ill-conceived. It's too much like a typical British municipal carnival parade. Nice for those involved but not much of interest to anyone else.

I'm not sure why some teams seem to have individual boats, but I bet they wish they were sharing larger boats with other teams. It can't be very pleasant bobbing up and down in the choppy water.
