I've watched Emmerdale for many years and yes Cain was a bad'un in his younger days so it's good they've mellowed him in his middle years. Not sure how old he's portrayed as now early 50's ? Anyway he's trying to stay this side of prison himself and holding back from knocking seven shades out of those he'd not think twice about in the old days. He's got a good wife and family he obviously cares about so he's doing the right thing. Cain will never be a softie.
