Ella came back to the village to get into Liam's to retrieve a memory box that she'd left behind. She must've been hiding in the bushes spying until Liam went to work then got in somehow and was rummaging through drawers looking for it when Mandy let herself in and realised someone was in the house and started hollering for them to show themselves, Ella appeared and next we see Mandy getting the box from a drawer and handing it to Ella.
Ella took out the photo of her and her brother as children and said that day was the anniversary of his death and she needed to see his face, in true Emmerdale style we got no explanation of how he died, that was pretty much end of story. She said she was living out of her car and left.
