I wish they would stop going on about Emma - she’s still on her comeback from injury so it’s not fair to expect miracles from her and she doesn’t need the pressure.

Ice I know, I really wish Matteo had drawn someone else. Plus he was having problems with his back.
Jannik was obviously still having trouble with his hip too (and keeping upright on the grass!).

Covers seem to be going back on on court 2. I'm not sure I can listen to a whole afternoon of talks about Emma and Andy.

The crowd is the advantage that Fernley has especially as Djok doesn’t like it when people aren’t cheering for him.

Yes, I've just seen that about Andy and Emma.

Also, apparently there's a "discussion" between the AELTC and the BBC about when to schedule Andy and Jamie's match. The BBC want it tomorrow, so it doesn't clash with the football on Friday but the AELTC would prefer Friday, to give Andy the most recovery time. Then, of course, there's the other spanners in the works - the election coverage and the forecast rain.
Obviously, my opinion is.....who gives a flying fuck about football. And haven't the BBC got numerous channels....?
I hope the AELTC hold their ground because I'm fed up with broadcasters/the money men increasingly wielding all the power. Evening sessions and 3am finishes anyone?

Jane I was thinking that really- i don't see how starting at 11 would affect the grass that much. But it's about tickets and money and who has seats where already.

It's always odd, going from watching RG, where play starts at 10am or earlier (and still doesn't get finshed til late) to watching this.

And yet, somehow , the tournament still gets done

I think Sunday would be a good day for Andy and Jamie's match, and make it a first come first served match so no celeb hanger ons trying to get their mug in the paper getting the best seats.

It's a full time job changing channels!
